    2. Still in the 90s here, but always start early getting my Christmas books for the long cold winter. I don't really want to think about winter, but it's a-comin'.

  2. Good Morning Kav, hope all is well and your new therapy will be of great help to you!

Christmas books are some of my favorites to read, all the warm fuzzies! Believe it or not, I'm on my sixth Christmas book right now, five have been review copies so I'm down to my last few choices on my list.

The Mistletoe Secret (11/15)is the next one I'd like to read. Richard Paul Evans is a master of Christmas storytelling.

Thanks for the giveaway and have a blessed day my friend :)

  3. The Christmas Target by Shirlee McCoy (11/1) would be my second choice.

    3. There certainly is! I just love the combination! I haven't read her before either. But this book already has good ratings and I've heard alot of good things about Charlotte's books.

I just read God Bless Us Every One -- look for it later this week as a giveaway too so you can give it a double try. :-) I've read only one of the Baxter books -- and it was in the middle of the series. I think they are best read in order and I've been meaning to do that so thanks for the reminder. Good luck, Jackie!

  65. I usually only read Christmas stories when they are already a part of a series that I am reading or have read. I've only read the first book in the Charmed Amish Life series, but the second book is sitting right next to my computer. So, my first choice is:

An Amish Family Christmas by Shelley Shepard Gray

    tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Maybe this is weird to ask (I'm just too curious for my own good sometimes lol), but is there a reason you only read Christmas stories when they're part of a series you're reading?

      Delete
    2. No problem, Elly. I don't normally seek them out, because they are usually singularly focused and oftentimes novellas. Novellas aren't my favorite, because I love lots of depth and details. Granted, I have read some Christmas stand-alones and novellas that I thoroughly enjoyed, it's just that I don't purposefully seek them out. If they are part of a series that I have read or are reading, it can be enjoyable to revisit the setting and favorite characters.

      Delete
    3. I'm with you on novellas -- I much prefer a full length novel I can sink my teeth into! But there are some authors who can pack that emotional punch into a novella too so I look for the collections they are in. But I'd rather it be no more than three or four authors. Not a fan of the really big collections.

Mind you, Christmas is the one time I really do enjoy a good novella. I'm used to reading a Christmas story each night before Christmas -- so why not read a novella?

  66. I haven't read this series, but I want to and have the first few books.

    Plain Christmas by Sarah Price
