  1. Oh my favorite! Readers choice week :-) But the downside is it means you have whittled your TBR pile down :-( That's just no good!

So many good books coming out, it's really hard to choose!

    1. I know -- my poor TBR pile, I just have two historicals (one of which I`m about to start today), two Amish and one lonely LIS left to read. I'm reviewed ahead for a week though so that's a nice cushion. But still, it is time to explore options for the summer and these look fantastic. Good luck, Trixi.

    1. Cindy, your first two picks were published in April and May so they don't qualify for this draw. This whole week we are looking for books that are published in June, July or August. So you can choose two more titles if you'd like. Good luck!

  7. I love helping you plan your summer reading, lol, and my own too! I have 4 historicals on my summer list, but I love seeing what other readers have found.

The first one coming out in June is Heart on the Line-the second in the Ladies of Harper's Station series.

  13. Oh and just a recommendation, I didn't list this book for myself because I read an ARC, but The Writing Desk by Rachel Hauck is the best book I've read so far this yr. It has a dual timeline with the Gilded Age and modern day stories overlapping. My favorite Hauck book ever, I think you'll love it too.

It's like following a rabbit trail and once I get on Amazon and see one I like and then see the recommended reads and I click on them I end up with books coming out months away which is fine except I'm looking for new stuff sooner. LOL It's so crazy -- and I'm a librarian so you'd think I'd have figure it out by now. Great choices all -- Good luck, CC.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I love Karen Witemeyer!!!! Hunting down new releases is hard. (harder than it should be!!)

I go to publisher's websites and look at their coming soon lists. Some websites are more user friendly than others. You can do a general search on Amazon -- like Christian Historical Fiction -- but it gets trickier to narrow down the publication date. You have to sort by preferences (upper right hand button) and select publication date but then you have to scroll through the list until you reach the months you want. A bit time consuming. I would think you could do the same on Christian Books -- in fact they have a coming soon section once you pick Fiction and you can scroll through those titles -- they are labeled by month. That's probably the easiest way to find some titles.

      Good luck, Aimee!

  115. I've had such a crazy week. I'm behind in everything! I flew back from Mexico on Monday after visiting my daughter who is there with YWAM, but only after missing my flight! So stressful. I then come home to what my husband has told me is a dead desktop. You don't realize how dependent you are on something until it's gone. :( I could go on, but I know my wek wasn't as crazy as many others. On to my historical choices. Better late than never. :)

    1.) Liar's Winter by Cindy K. Sproles.

I've been wanting to read her first fictional book Mercy's Rain forever. They sound like books you would enjoy, as well, Kav. They both books sound sooo good. I've only read her devotional, New Sheets.
