Reader's Choice - Romantic Suspense/Mystery

GIVEAWAY

Spring has sprung!!! (in climates south of me, at least.) And that means publishers are getting ready to shower us with new releases. Everybody --SQUEEEP -- together! I am so excited.

So here's how this thing works: you recommend Christian Fiction with release dates of April, May or June 2018 (up to 3 a day) and you have a chance at winning one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details below before entering.

PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week

IT'S ROMANTIC SUSPENSE/MYSTERY GIVEAWAY DAY!

To be entered the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Romantic Suspense/Mystery genre you would like to win.

Romantic Suspense/Mystery

A full-length story or novella collection where mystery is an important part of the plot. The hero or heroine (or both) are often in peril (more so in suspense). Can be set in any time period -- contemporary or historical. May cross genres such as YA, Amish and dual timelines.

Please note: Susan May Warren has another book in her Mountain Rescue series coming out in May and this is NOT considered romantic suspense. It's considered adventure fiction where the peril comes from natural causes as opposed to nefarious villains. :-)

How does it work?

Easy Peasy! Make suggestions in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES

Publication dates must be
April, May or June 2018
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
3 separate comments
(makes it easier to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of
due to # of responses)
NEW - entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on somebody else's logon) - NEW
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about
Christian Fiction all over the world!!!

It's helpful if you include your email (using @ and . instead of AT and . to protect against spammers) but you only need to add it to one comment (per day). If you choose not to include your email it's up to you to contact me with your mailing address if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on
Sunday March 25 2018

    1. LISA CARTER HAS A NEW BOOK COMING OUT????????Squuuueeeaaaalllll! THUD! THUD! THUD! (that's the sound of my head hitting the floor every time I try to get up.) Excuse me while I hyperventilate in a paper bag for a moment.

      Phew!!!

Alrighty then. Ahem. Thanks for making my day, Terrill. I did not know that...in case you hadn't figured that out. And I love Nancy Mehl. And I have the first park book by Karen Barnett waiting for me at the library. Eeep. Good luck, Terrill!

    2. RIGHT?! You turned me onto Lisa Carter's contemporary romances and then I moved onto to Caroline Reckoning and Vines of Entanglement (Ooh, suspense!) Like I said, not usually my genre, but I can handle them if they are a bit lighter on the eek factor. And doesn't Karen Barnett's new series have the greatest book covers? I loved the first one and it took place in my old stomping grounds. Have fun reading it.

    3. Yay -- glad I made you a partner in crime where buying Lisa Carter books is concerned. I really like balance she brings to her suspense.

  7. Good morning all! I love suspense and mystery, but to be honest some of the books coming out are scaring this scared-y cat. I like the ones that don't go into too much detail on killers and stalkers and such, lol.

  9. 3)Now I'm going to get all giddy, Kav is rubbing off on me, about the new Lisa Carter book, A Vast and Gracious Tide 6/12.

I live 90 minutes from the Outer Banks setting and have climbed that lighthouse on the cover. I love reading books set in familiar surroundings and the story sounds very intriguing!

As always Kav, I appreciate your giving us this opportunity to discover up and coming CF! So much fun!

Oh -- and Storm Front isn't a suspense selection. It's adventure -- man against nature not man against man. So feel free to pick another one. Good luck.

  13. I had Karen Barnett's When The Fire Falls on my list for all genre day, but will it work here? Description does indicate mystery but difficult to discern details. Yosemite National Park setting sounds wonderful. First book in that vintage park series was interesting. Thanks!

    1. Yes, CC, it's both historical and suspense. Tagged as both on Amazon and, as you mentioned, the blurb indicates a mystery. So yep, you can enter this one.

    1. Mounites?????!!!! I'm in. And that Colleen Coble one has me cafuzzled a bit. It's a reissue of Anathema which I've read...but I thought the reissue had already come out? Only now there's a reissue of a reissue? Anyway, it's a good read -- just be aware that it's Anathema...if you read that one then you've read this one. Good luck, Trixi!

      Delete
    2. Sigh...I was so excited I misspelled Mounties. What kind of Canadian does that make me?

      Delete
    3. I was wondering about that Colleen Coble one! I know several of hers are reissues! So if you allow it, I will change my selection:

#2: Secret Past by Sharee Stover (April)

      Delete
    4. Switched. Yes, it's kind of annoying when the reissue a book and change the title as well. How is a reader supposed to know? I read the blurb and thought...wait...that sounds familiar...and then at the very end it said 'orginally published as Anathema'. So frustrating since Anathema is or was not too long ago, still available to purchase.

    5. I had to add Wilderness Pursuit to my wish list after Trixi mentioning the premise. It sounds so unique it's a Mounties series!! Yay! Thanks for the heads up, Trixi.

    1. Heidi, your first selection is good but Storm Front and The Hidden Side aren't suspense. Storm Front would fit in the contemporary category or on general Christian Fiction day and The Hidden Side is dual timeline so would fit in either Historical or Contemporary as well as the general Christian Fiction day when that comes up. So feel free to try again.

I hope all my choices are eligible, Kav. I read all their synopsis' and they all had an element of romance & suspense/mystery stated or inferred.

    1. So this one doesn't meet the suspense requirement. It's not tagged as such and I don't see a really strong suspense thread in the blurb. There are some secrets, but not a strong mystery element. So feel free to choose another one -- if you're going for historical suspense others have suggested Where the Fire Falls by Karen Barnett and A Daring Venture by Elizabeth Camden.

    1. This one isn't romantic suspense, Samantha. More action/adventure...with cowboy. :-)
