May Giveaway -- Week Two

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
AND SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR WINNERS

Some of you know that I have been dealing with chronic pain and limited mobility. A year ago I began a new cutting-edge treatment that has made some significant changes in my pain levels and mobility. But, alas, I'm being discharged from that program and so I'm faced with figuring out what I can do to maintain the gains I've made and hopefully, improve upon them. So I'm participating in a kind of chronic pain boot camp. :-) Started this week and it's taking way more out of me then I thought it would. I'm not even able to read a book a day - gasp! And my brain is fuzz so....I'm making some modifications to the blog for the next two weeks.

1) I usually read 1-2 weeks ahead so my reviews are all scheduled well in advance but I've lost some of that cushion this week so....still planning on six reviews/giveaways BUT if I lose my umph I may miss one or two. If that happens I'll definitely offer those books up the following week, so do not despair if it's one you are really interested in.

2) While I'll still be doing giveaways, I'm not going to be sending the books out until the week of May 27.

3) It would be super helpful if winners contact me with their mailing address instead of waiting for me to contact them. kavluvstoreadATyahooDOTca. BUT, I won't email you back until I order the book at the end of the month - not because I don't love you but because I'm too discombobulated to think straight. :)

Phew! Think that's all I wanted to say. Kinda long-winded this morning, eh?

And the winners are....

    1. Thanks, CC. I love that you are a rescue dog mom. That's my goal, well reward really, once I get to the point where I can really care for a dog again. I miss having a fur buddy. Give yours a kiss on the snout from me.

  9. Kav, I'm glad you're much improved! However at the same time, I'm sorry you're so discombobulated. I know it can really throw a person off their routine. I pray you can find something that works for you and continues to keep the pain at bay while helping with improvement. I can not even imagine chronic pain, my heart goes out to you! Thanks for keeping us in the loop of Kav's world :-) Hugs to you!

  11. Hey Kav, I have been tied up most of the day so I'm only just now checking in.
I'm praying for your pain management boot camp, that it will help you. I'm also praying God will guide you to the right techniques that will benefit you. I'm praying you don't lose your "umph". I'm praying you'll feel God's presence because He'll be walking with you every step of the way.
You do what you need to do to take care of yourself, there's only one Kav and we all care about you.
I'm happy to win Melissa's book, but don't worry about sending it until you are feeling well. You are what's important.
Take care of yourself friend, and I'm believing for a really good week for you!

    1. Thanks so much Tracey. Lovin' this support. Though the thought of not being on top of my read 'n' review game is discombobulating me a bit. I mean, what am I to tell my TBR pile --- all those babies patiently waiting their turn to be read!

And I am learning some new stuff that I think is going to be helpful if I'm consistent and go at a slow and steady pace. Plus, I'm finally being drilled on mindfulness techniques which I'm actually able to grasp. Supposed to be super helpful for managing pain. My doctor said they are even teaching med students mindfulness techniques to help with stress - it's a required course! So, if I can just tune out my over-active imagination and mindlessly embrace mindfulness, I might get somewhere. lol
