June Giveaway - Week Two

WON BY REBECCA MANEY

WON BY PAM WESTFALL

WON BY CC

WON BY SUSANNE MINCER &
LUCY REYNOLDS

WON BY FREDAMANS

WON BY KIM HANSEN

As always, I'll contact the winners if they supplied an email. If not, it's up to the winner to contact me at kavluvstoreadATyahooDOTca. Please include your mailing address so I can send you your book! From time to time I'm not able to connect with a winner so I have a one month deadline attached to these giveaways. If we can't make contact within 30 days of the giveaway win announcement, the offer is forfeited. I usually send out books within a week of receiving mailing addresses but do give it a month before inquiring about a win to allow for processing and shipping times.

LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT WEEK'S GIVEAWAYS:

I just ordered the last books from the spring giveaways so that tells me that when I turn the page in my TBR calendar to a new month I'm going to be greeted by a whole lot of nuthin'. Seriously, I don't have a single title recorded for July, August or September releases! How did that happen? I think my May boot camp discombobulated me big time. So you know what that means, right?

IT'S TIME FOR THE SUMMER EDITION OF
 READER'S CHOICE WEEK!!!!!

I'm begging y'all to offer literary mercy so I can fill in those blank pages! Looking for suggestions of Christian Fiction being released in JULY, AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER 2018. As usual with these giveaways, please make sure to read the rules which will be posted each day. Basically the week is divided into genre days where y'all can offer up to three book selections a day. Name/book combos will be entered in a draw and if you win it's an IOU for the book on release day.

Please note: because this is such a busy week and keeping track of comment entries is almost a full time job, this week's giveaways are closed to email entries. Sorry!

Here's the schedule for the week:

Monday June 11 -- Historical Romance or Historical Fiction -- a full length story OR novella collection set in any time period before the 1970s. May cross genres such as YA, suspense, Amish etc and can include dual timelines.

Tuesday June 12 -- Contemporary Romance - a full-length story OR novella collection set in present day (1980 up). May cross genres such as YA, suspense, Amish etc and can include dual timelines.

Wednesday June 13 -- Romantic Suspense/Mystery Fiction -- a full-length story OR novella collection where mystery is an important part of the plot. The hero or heroine (or both) are often in peril (more so in suspense). Can be set in any time period and may cross genres such as YA, Amish, dual timelines etc.

Thursday June 14 -- Amish Fiction -- a full-length story OR novella collection where the hero or heroine or both are Amish OR the story has significant Amish content with Amish secondary characters and an Amish community. Can be contemporary or historical and can have a mystery or suspense element.

Friday June 15 -- Christian Fiction - any genre including previous selections you've made on other days and also for specific genres not covered yet this week such as Women's Fiction, Speculative Fiction, etc.

Saturday June 16 -- Retro Reads -- Any Christian Fiction published in 2017 or earlier. Here's your chance to catch the one that got away! Just make sure it's still in print...or ebook format if you're okay with that.

Woohoo! I can't wait to fill in my blank pages with awesome new releases due out this summer! Let the book sharing begin!!!!!!! (well, starting Monday!)

  5. I went over to Christian Books (CBD.com) in preparation for this week's reader choice week, which is my go-to source. They are only listing June, July, and August....no September, yikes! So where else do you go for "coming soon" titles???I'm frantic to make my lists ahead of time :-)

    1. Argh -- see, this is why I pay y'all the big bucks to do my legwork for me. Bwahahahaha!

Okay -- go to Amazon select the drop down box to Books so you're not searching all the products. Then type in Christian Fiction for a search. When the results come up you'll have there's 100 pages but do not despair. Click on sort by box in the right hand of the screen and select publication date. Now you'll get a list of books coming out starting in 2019. Again, do not despair -- hop over to page 15. The last book on that page is the first Sept 2018 book -- Sadie by Sarah Price -- eeeepppp! We have our first Amish book! Anyway, now you can keep on looking on the list by clicking on the next page, 16 etc. Hope that helps!

    2. Also, if you're brave you can go to each publisher website and check out their upcoming releases but that's always hit and miss. They shouldn't make it so hard for avid readers like us to track down books.

    3. Ah, geeze, see this is why we need each other!! I had no idea how to do that on Amazon or that you could without slogging through hundreds of titles/ pages...

I thought about going to the publishers websites but I was still looking at slogging through hundreds of titles! Or even Netgalley, but have no idea if that is a reliable source.

You just made it super easy.....THANK YOU!!!

    4. There's also ACFW FICTION FINDER -- here's the link https://www.fictionfinder.com/book

September 2018 starts on the first page and you can scroll through. Problem with this site is it isn't a complete list. Books just appear if an author or publisher remembers to post it there, I think.

    5. I have a summer fiction catalog from CBD. Combing through it...don't see much in September.
