Thanks for all of your input this week! I've plumped out my handy dandy TBR wishlist which makes me all swoony. :-) Nothing like cozying up with a good book on a chilly evening!
Before we move on to announcing the winner's here'a a bit of book nerdy stats -- just because I can't help myself. Curiosity killed the reader and all that. I had to know what the most popular picks were this week so I give you --- the most requested title(s) in each genre. Ta da!
MOST REQUESTED HISTORICAL FICTION
MOST REQUESTED SUSPENSE/MYSTERY FICTION
MOST REQUESTED AMISH FICTION
Now, without further ado, here's our
Autumn Readers Choice Winners!
CHRISTMAS WINNERS
AMISH WINNERS
WON BY RACHAEL K. AND ALISON BOSS |
But wait -- it's not over yet! This Vanity category has become a blog tradition. It's where I choose my favourite cover in each genre and then draw from the names of readers who entered them...a kinda draw within a draw. Hope that makes sense. Here are the cover-love winners.
HISTORICAL COVER-LOVE WINNER:
(The lamp post calls to me -- brings back so many happy childhood Narnia memories. So nostalgia wins this time round!)
(Unconventional. Campy. Vibrant colours. This book screams 'read me now!)
(I really like the way the images are imbedded in the heroine's silhouette. And the blue tones ooze a chilly, mysterious charm.)
(Sigh, we aren't offered much individuality when it comes to Amish cover art and this one's pretty typical of the genre but I really love the autumnal colours that actually do make it pop. From the deep red of her dress to the fall countryside in the background.)
We're still not through, 'cause we have another Reader's Choice tradition of picking a random #from the max # of entries on one day which becomes the 'just because bonus giveaway." If I'm not making sense, all you need to know is that it means more book giveaways! Woohoo! This time to the 75th entry on each genre day.
HISTORICAL FICTION 75TH
Phew!!! That's another RC wrap...until after Christmas when the chill bite of winter has us cozying up inside longing for some new fireside reads. I'll send winners an email stating their book win, publication date and request for mailing address (or email, if you prefer an ebook) so that I have everything ready for your release day. Then I'll email you once again when the book has been ordered.
