Rescue Mission

GIVEAWAY

EASON, LYNETTE
RESCUE MISSION

A missing baby's trail has gone cold.
But this K-9 unit has one last lead...

With a baby still missing after months of searching, Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit handler Lucas Hudson and his furry partner must protect the only witness as she recovers from amnesia. But the kidnapper wants Kate Montgomery silenced -- permanently. Now hiding in the icy Montana mountains might be the key to their survival and to triggering Kate's memories of the night baby Chose Baker disappeared...

Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit

My Review:

Woohooo! This is the book I've been waiting for -- when we finally get to find out what happened to baby Chloe. 'Rescue Mission' is the eighth book in this multi-authored series and I love how each previous book edged us closer to this big reveal. If you're new to this series, you can totally jump in here so no catching up needed, though you'd enjoy it if you did.

Each book in the series has it's own unique suspense and romance as well as an overarching suspense plot that finds resolution in this final instalment. But the authors do a great job of catching new readers up with former heroes and heroines as well as the progress of the suspense tie-in so you can really hop in at any point in the series.

The intense opening scene sets the stage for this action-packed grand finale. I felt like I knew Kate already from snippets in previous books and I was excited to delve into her story. And -- bonus points -- she comes with her very own therapy dog so we get double the puppy love and that makes me very happy. :-) Plus hero Lucas is kinda alluring in his own right.

I like that there's a bit of a history between these two as well. More on Lucas's end since he has been watching over Kate (in a way) since her attack eight months previously. So he's really invested in the outcome of this case and his protector spidey senses are fully charged. It makes the romance that develops all the more realistic.

And, though 'amnesia' isn't my favourite trope in a suspense plot, I really like the way it plays out here. It's been eight months since Kate's attack and she's been through extensive physical and psychological therapy during that time.  Even so, she still hasn't fully regained her memories. They are coming to her in fragmented pieces though, and no one knows if she will ever fully recover. I like how realistic this approach to the amnesia trope is. I just bought into it more, plus it really amped up the suspense all through the series as we got updates on Kate's recovery...and lack of solid memories that could have helped the investigation along.

Eason delivers an enthralling conclusion to this outstanding series! I'm thrilled that all the books are available in audio format and I have the entire collection in my audible library to revisit in the future. I find it interesting that each book has a different narrator. They've all been fantastic and I really enjoyed Carol Jacobanis's performance in this one.

Oh -- and while I say 'Rescue Mission' is the Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit grand finale, we still have a set of Christmas novellas to look forward to in December. Woohoo!

The Veteran's Holiday Home

GIVEAWAY

MCCLAIN, LEE TOBIN
THE VETERAN'S HOLIDAY HOME

He just face down his past if he wants a chance at a future.

Military veteran Jason Smith came to the Colorado mountains with his support dog, Titan, looking for a fresh start. Only his new boss is Ashley Green, his former sister-in-law. Fortunately, working together with troubled kids transforms their awkwardness into camaraderie -- and something deeper. But when past secrets start unraveling, can they find a way forward and make this Christmas one to remember?

A K-9 Companions Tale

My Review:

This series keeps delivering the kind of heart stirring, angst-turns-to-peace romances that I love to read. No worries about reading the K-9 Companions series in order as each book is a standalone -- they are all just linked by the common theme of service/therapy dogs. And I love the variety we've been getting!

Titan is my first fictional (or 'in person' for that matter) mastiff! Not a common breed in the K-9 service field but when you have a brawny (and ruggedly good looking) veteran with chronic pain and balance issues, well, a puny poodle just won't do. Titan's built to brace Jason from falls and keep him steady on his feet no matter what the conditions. A win for Jason, but not so much for dog-shy Ashley. So, that's one strike against them getting together but there's so much more to their rocky relationship!

So, Ashley and Jason knew each other almost a decade ago. She was married to his brother and, well, there is so much I want to tell you but I can't because it would be big time spoiler-y. But it's soooo good 'cause McClain has layered in some incredible depth to their backstories -- the kind that takes a whole book to uncover...and conquer. And that's all I'm gonna say about that. :-)

Love the school setting -- Bright Tomorrows Residential Academy and the detail and care the author has put into portraying these troubled boys who are pretty much facing their last chance. It might sound familiar because it's the same setting for another book in this series, 'Her Secret Prayer', so it was fun to see some of the same secondary characters not to mention Dev and Emily. Not a big deal if you haven't read that book, just a little fun bonus for us K-9 Companions and/or Lee Tobin McClain fans.

This book has all the feels to make a great escape read...though I will say the holiday aspect is very, very light so I wouldn't count it as a Christmas read.

Explosive Revenge

GIVEAWAY

BLACK, MAGGIE K.
EXPLOSIVE REVENGE

A ruthless enemy is out for vengeance...
and it's up to a K-9 team to stop him

Sergeant Tyson Wilkes is determined to protect his Rocky Mountain K-9 unit -- especially against an unknown assailant with a taste for explosives. Fortunately, Denver detective Skylar Morgan has the toughness and smarts to help Tyson and K-9 Echo find answers...even if she's stepping into the crosshairs with them. But can they disarm this volatile killer before the next bomb goes off?

Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit

My Review:

I absolutely love this series and am wavering between excited and in the depths of despair over its looming conclusion. Excited because we will finally get closure on the over-arcing series suspense (and my brain is in overdrive imagining all kinds of plausible scenarios) and despair because I don't want the fun to be over. Such a bibliophile quandary!

'Explosive Revenge' is the seventh (and second last) book in the Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit continuity series but don't be alarmed, it can easily be read as a standalone. While all the books in the series share a common suspense thread, each book has it's own suspense and romance plot as well. The series' suspense is gradually building to a conclusion, but each book solves its own unique mystery and, of course, delivers a happily-ever-after for our investigating couple. Plus the authors do a great job of delivering details on the over-arcing suspense developments in a way that is both a gentle reminder for series fans and a casual update for newbies. Makes for satisfying reading all the way around. :-)

Have to say Echo, K-9 extraordinaire, stole my heart and grabbed my attention with every head tilt, ear flop and probing stare. Black knows how to write 'dog' and I might have swooned more over Echo than Tyson (rabid dog lover that I am.)

I was excited to get Tyson's story since he's been in the background throughout the series, directing his team while struggling with works of sabotage within their facility. He's been operating on the mistaken idea that being a leader means fixing everything for everybody. Loved his personal journey which has him realizing that letting go of control and accepting assistance from both his team and Detective Skylar Morgan will not only lead to better results, but set him free in so many ways. But, oh my, what a journey that is!

Then we have Skylar, succeeding in what still might be considered a man's world, and maybe over compensating sometimes because of that. She's ready for Tyson to try and wrestle control of her case from her, but he keeps surprising her which leaves her discombobulated. Great dynamics between these two that leads to the kind of taut romantical frisson that kept me engaged.

Awesome suspense, with a nice mix of investigative work and action added to the page-turning-ness of this read. Cannot wait until 'Rescue Mission' by Lynette Eason releases later this month!

Oh -- and I listened to the audible edtion of this book narrated by Kelli Tager who did an excellent job of bringing these characters to life. Absolutely ecstatic (and that's putting it mildly) that this series is available in audio format.

A Reason to Stay

GIVEAWAY

KASTNER, DEB
A REASON TO STAY

Caring for a little boy...brings him more than he ever imagined.

Tied down with family and work responsibilities, Sharpe Winslow has always wondered about the world outside his small Colorado town. When newcomer Emma Fitzpatrick finds herself unsure about caring for the brother she never knew about, Sharipe and his rescue pup, Baloo, step in and take the boy under their wing. Sharipe knows he shouldn't get close to Emma or Aidan. But maybe they'll give him a reason to stay...

A K-9 Companions Story

My Review:

Deb Kastner wrote the first multi-authored 'K-9 Companions' series book back in January and now we're already up to the ninth book and Kastner is back with another pawsitively heartwarming read. :-)

In fact, 'A Reason to Stay' does double duty in two series as it's also the 5th book in the author's 'Rocky Mountain Family' series. If that sounds confusing, it really isn't. The Winslow family and their tree farm / dog training business in the Colorado Rockies has become one of my favourite fictional places to visit. All the books read well as standalones even though there is carryover with characters and setting, so you're fine to jump in here even if you're a newbie. But it's extra fun if you've been keeping up with the Winslow family shenanigans all along.

Either way, come prepared for fun and laughter and the heart-tugging poiganncy of raw emotions. Grief. Loneliness. Fear. All play a part in keeping Emma and Sharpe, and even young Aiden, from living the kind of life God plans for them. Of course they don't reckon on small town magic and the healing powers of a big-hearted canine to aid in bringing about an unexpected change!

Love the character dynamics in this novel -- especially between Sharpe and Aiden. Just melted my heart. And there are some great scenes featuring Baloo, certified therapy wonder dog, and his humans interacting at a veteran's homeless shelter.

Happy sigh. I'm in bibliophile euphoria after finishing this emotional read.

Tracking a Killer

GIVEAWAY

GODDARD, ELIZABETH
TRACKING A KILLER

Can an officer and her furry partner survive a killer and the wilderness?

When Rocky MountainK-9 officer Harlow Zane and her cadaver dog, Nell, join the search for a serial killer, the last thing she expects is that she'll draw the killer's obsessive attention. But her former academy rival, FBI Special Agent Wes Grey, notices she matches the victim profile. After another look-alike goes missing, they must work together to catch the criminals...before Harlow's the next to disappear.

Rocky Mountain K-9 unit

My Review:

Can I say again just how thrilled I am that this continuity series is available in audio edition as well as the usual paperback and ebook? I've got them all lined up on my preorder shelf on audible and get such a kick when I get the notification that one has become available. Does that sound weird? Probably, but, I can't stop the bibliophile fangirling! Great narration by Amanda Nolan enhanced my enjoyment of this spectacular romantic suspense.

Elizabeth Goddard knows how to write suspense. How to draw out the creep factor without going over board. How to plant clues and red herrings in a twisty turn plot that keeps me breathless with anticipation. And she really knows how to create a dynamic love story in the midst of all the danger and chaos. To say I was captivated all the way through is an understatement.

Love the reunion romance aspect to the story. Harlow and Wes have an interesting past -- academy rivals on the verge of something so much more until it self-destructed. But they've both picked up the pieces, dedicating themselves to their law enforcement careers. Relationships and romance? Not a chance...until...

Squeeallll! Such a great romance fraught with emotion. To come face to face again as part of a make-or-break career case...well, the pressure is on and I was so there for it!

Really enjoyed the Yellowstone National Park setting -- my second book in a row set in a park. There's something about the wilderness location that amps up the suspense in these books and the environment is so different from my citified life that I find it intriguing.

And, of course, shout out to beagle Nell. Her sweet nature belies her rather grim job -- cadaver dog. I've really enjoyed reading about the different types of working K-9s that law enforcement uses in this series. Love learning a little somethin' while I'm being entertained!

Tracking a Killer is the sixth book in the Rocky Mountain K-9 unit series but it can be read as a standalone. Each book has its own unique location and mystery while a common suspense thread is loosely woven throughout. Each author does a great job of keeping readers up to date on the over arcing suspense plot though, so you could easily leap in at any point in the series and not feel lost.

Goal Update: #6 Stay current with a series.

Defending From Danger

GIVEAWAY

BAILEY, JODIE
DEFENDING FROM DANGER

This K-9 has a sanctuary to protect and it's owner to rescue.

Someone wants Paige Bristow's wolf sanctuary gone...and Paige dead. Officer Reece Campbell and his K-9 partner, Maverick, are the only ones she can turn to, but she never told him he as the father of her daughter. As the attacks escalate, Reece must uncover the perp and keep himself from falling for Paige all over again. But will the truth between them cost everything?

Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit

My Review:

This is the fifth book in the Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit continuity series but can easily be read as a standalone novel. I'm really loving this whole series and excited for the big over-arching suspense to be solved but we're still a few months away from that. Each author seamlessly weaves 'need to know' info into her book so it's easy to feel caught up even if you leap into the series midway through.

I love the remote setting for this instalment -- the heroine runs a wolf hybrid sanctuary which is all kinds of interesting on its own! But someone has it out for Paige and malicious mischief is turning more deadly. Who else can help her but her ex-beau, a K-9 officer dedicated to serving the Rocky Mountain area? Cue the Reunion Romance happy dancing music...except...

Gah -- there's a secret baby trope which is one of my least favourite tropes, right up there with love triangles and we all know how I feel about them! Usually I will just skip over this type of story, even if it's written by a fave author, but since this is part of a long running series and I have the books on audible preorder, I decided to grin and bear it. :-)

So, while I enjoyed aspects of this romantic suspense, I really couldn't wrap my head around Paige's reasons for keeping their daughter a secret from Reece for five years! Maybe initially, I could see how she would panic and hightail it out of there but, as time passed and she matured and still didn't reach out, well, I'm still a whole lot peeved at her and while Reece might have forgiven her, I'm still struggling. lol Yes, I know these are characters in a book but I tend to live each moment, each emotion with them so...

You might feel totally different or the secret baby trope might be your absolute favourite thing in the world (?!) -- if so, you'll just have to read this book and let me know what you think.

Guarding His Secret

GIVEAWAY

KEMERER, JILL
GUARDING HIS SECRET

He's hiding something...can a special K-9 encourage him to reveal all?

When a family crisis leaves rancher Randy Watkins caring for a surprise baby nephew, he turns to longtime friend Hannah Carr for help. But Randy has a heart condition -- a secret he's determined to hide...unless Hannah's clever retired dog threatens to expose it. As friendship turns to something more, can Randy trust Hannah with the truth?

A K-9 Companions Story

My Review:

I am soooooo in love with this series! Each book is a standalone, but they share the common theme of K-9 companions and the variety of therapy dogs has been so fantastic. This is the sixth book in this year long series and I devour each one as soon as it comes out. And just an FYI, Guarding His Secret is also the third book in the Wyoming Ranchers series, so it's doing double duty.

Love this Western town and the bachelor (well, not all remain bachelors) ranchers who support and encourage and razz each other through good times and bad. A host of secondary characters bring added life and interest to the story...and I'm pretty sure Kemerer has done a fantastic job of setting up the fourth book. Time will tell!

Randy's juggling a lot between his shop in town, the ranch and some unexpected family drama that lands on his doorstep. To make things worse, this stubborn cowboy (can a rancher be considered a cowboy? This Easterner thinks so) has a heart condition that he is keeping under wraps...and mostly ignoring in a fatalistic kind of way. Gah, stubborn men and their health issues! His backstory includes a decades old trauma that still affects him to this day, so I guess I'll give him a pass on being so mule-headed!

Hannah is the kind of woman of feels her way through life. She cares a lot, loves completely and is generous with her time...and her heart. Which can get her into trouble sometimes. She's known Randy forever and when he's overwhelmed by one dilemma after another, she calmly steps in and offers to help, risking her heart in the process. Because sometimes, Randy draws close and at other times, he pushes her away. In fact, he seems to have a better relationship with her retired K-9, Ned, than he does with her!

This is where we get to the fan-girling over Ned part. Soulful brown eyes, still in his prime, but retired due to his owner's death. Ned has his own backstory to contend with and he just wants to be needed again. Sniffle. And then, voila, Randy is on the scene more and more and Ned starts alerting only no one clues in until....

Seriously fantabulously fantastical!!!! Gobbled this friends to more contemporary romance in an afternoon because it was just too good to put down.

Hiding in Montana

GIVEAWAY

SCOTT, LAURA
HIDING IN MONTANA

A fugitive at large...

This K-9 on his trail.

To save a woman from being kidnapped, Officer Chris Fuller and his K-9 partner, Teddy, have no choice but to let the fugitive they're tracking get away. But when the escaped murderer returns to hunt tour pilot Lexie McDaniels again, Chris knows the attempted kidnapping wasn't a chance encounter. Lexie won't be safe until he catches the criminal...but are her secrets what is endangering them all?

Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit

My Review:

Classic 'she's keeping secrets (for a good reason), he's been hurt by women keeping secrets in the past' trope. I was on edge right through the read (er, listen) waiting for the big reveal. Ouch. It went as I expected and fallout ensued. Lots of emotional wrangling in this third Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit continuity series and I gobbled it up!

Of course, I love the K-9 angle and this time it's spaniel Teddy (totally cute name for police dog! lol) and his sensitive snout that takes the limelight. Love the little training details the authors include in these novels! Scott does an excellent job of relating what it's like to work with a tracking dog without bogging the action down.

So, if you're new to the continuity series concept it's basically a multi-authored series where there's one over arcing suspense thread slowly being worked out in the background to the unique suspense plot for each novel. Plus there's a new romance every month! All of which makes me so happy. (Each book can be read as a standalone though, so you can jump in any time.)

And I absolutely love that this series is being offered in audible format as well. I really enjoyed Jennifer Jill Araya's portrayal of these characters.

Earning Her Trust

GIVEAWAY

MINTON, BRENDA
EARNING HER TRUST

How can she move on when the past is knocking?

Just when Emery Guthrie thinks she's put her childhood trauma behind her with the help of her beloved service dog, Beau Wilde returns to town. She can't believe her high school bully now has guardianship of two orphaned children. But Beau has changed. And with her help, he's determined to prove he can be a father...but can he convince Emery to become part of their family?

K-9 Companions

My Review:

Phew! What a compelling story! And it has a more serious tone than the usual Love Inspired novels. Minton really captures the heartache and trauma of two orphaned children which makes for an angsty backdrop to the romance between Emery and Beau.

Emery is no stranger to trauma. She has lived through her own horrific brand of it and now she's come out the other side determined to help children navigate through their difficulties. She's passionate and determined and totally empathetic to her young charges because she can relate to them.

Beau is out of his element as the unexpected guardian to two young girls and he needs Emery's help to bridge the gap...only he has a less than stellar history with her. The high school bully and his victim are reunited in this emotional romance which adds a whole other dynamic to their love story!

And what great characterization! Minton digs deep into both hero and heroine's back stories and I winced over every painful discovery. So many levels to this inspiring read -- because, despite the heavy subject matter, the author manages to deliver a message of hope and resilience.

Oh -- and there's a dog! A lovable furball of comfort and calm. K-9 wonder dog Zeb brings his own special brand of something special to the story. Absolutely love this year long (Eeeepppp) K-9 Companions multi-authored series! I don't plan on missing a single one.

GIVEAWAY

HANSEN, VALERIE
READY TO PROTECT

A K-9 must safeguard a witness and her baby at all costs.

After witnessing a congresswoman's murder, wildlife photographer and mother-to-be Jamie London is forced into the protective custody of K-9 cop Ben Sawyer and police dog Shadow. Ben's Wyoming cattle ranch is the perfect place to hide and wait for the trial to start -- until they're tracked down by the assassin. Are Ben and Shadow enough to guarantee Jamie will make it to the hearing alive?

Rocky Mountain K-9 unit

My Review:

This is the second book in the multi-authored Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit continuity series. There's an over-arcing suspense thread that will slowly progress through each book but each novel also has its own suspense plot...and romance (happy sigh -- I'm all about the romance!)

Eeeeppp -- Ready to Protect is an amazing edge--of-your-seat read made all the more special because of noble K-9 Shadow. I do so love a great canine side character and this doberman knows how to work a scene. :-) There's tons of action and danger punctuated with some really hilarious scenes -- especially the grand finale. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard during a danger fraught take-down before.

I listened to the audible edition narrated by Courtney Patterson and loved every minute! So thrilled that some of the Love Inspired Suspense books are being offered in audio format! I have book three on preorder and I can't wait for release day. Just under a week and counting!

Dangerous Mountain Rescue

GIVEAWAY

BARRITT, CHRISTY
DANGEROUS MOUNTAIN RESCUE

Finding a missing girl depends on a K-9 and his handler.

Erin Lansing will search every inch of the mountains to find her missing teen daughter -- even with someone dead-set on stopping her. Teaming up with search-and-rescue K-9 handler Dillon Walker and his dog, Scout, is her only chance at living long enough to see her daughter again. But to save them all, can Dillion and Scout help Erin confront the dangerous truth about her past?

A K-9 Search and Rescue Novel

My Review:

Not just a heart-in-throat kind of opening scene, but a rip-a-mother's-heart-out kind. Barritt delivers one emotional sucker punch after another in this edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense.

A mother with a missing child who is desperate to find her. A stalker dogging her every move and taunting her at every turn. And that handsome St. Bernard mix tracking expert -- oh, and his human counterpart -- who stick by her side despite all the angst and upset

Honestly, I felt every emotion imaginable to the nth degree during this read. From fury at certain individuals to abject terror on Erin's behalf, to swoonalicious toe-curls over a certain K-9 duo. :-) So many plot twist and downright U-turns! Not to mention gasp-out-loud moments! Christy Barritt knows how to keep a reader fixated on a story.

And -- the icing on the cake -- eeeppp, I got to listen to Patricia Santomasso's riveting narration which made my 'reading' experience all the more enjoyable.

But when a gunman targets Mia during their first meeting, Nelson suspects she might actually be innocent. Only Mia's hiding something...and Nelson's been burned before. Can they trust each other to  catch a killer...before the threat engulfs them both?

Rocky Mountain K-9 unit #1

My Review:

Wheeeeeee!!!!! Another multi-authored K-9 continuity series from Love Inspired Suspense and all the books are available on audible! I love the way we're introduced to the K-9 team and the intriguing start to the over-arcing suspense thread that will be woven through each book. And can we give a nod to the genius of naming an accelerant detection dog Diesel?!

So, the suspense in this first book is a mix of cold-case and present danger and trying to figure out if they are related. An intense meet-cute starts things off with a bang. :-) I'm issuing a whiplash warning for this twisty turny plot! And there are a few tummy-flipping reveals that kept me on the edge of my seat right to the very end. Eeeepppp!!! And the romance is just as captivating!

I listened to the audible edition narrated by Neil Hellegers and, while I prefer female narrators, I did enjoy this one. (But I'm happy the rest of the series has female narrators. Just my personal preference.)

Tracking Concealed Evidence

GIVEAWAY

STOVER, SHAREE
TRACKING CONCEALED EVIDENCE

Unearthing clues in a murder could be the last thing they do...

To salvage his reputation, former forensic entomologist Jamey Dyer and his cadaver dog search for clues in a dismissed homicide -- and find the victim's sister, Detective Shaylee Adler, buried alive. Convinced her senator brother-in-law is behind the attack on her and her sister's disappearance, Shaylee needs Jamey's expertise. But can they uncover a deadly conspiracy before the killer buries the case -- and them -- for good?

My Review:

R-e-l-e-n-t-l-e-s-s, that's how you spell the diabolical villain in this gripping romantic suspense. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or awed by the author's clever repertoire of assassination techniques. :-) We're dropped right in the middle of the heart-pounding action on page one and it doesn't let up until the epilogue. Mercy!

And I absolutely love the science nerd hero and his fascination with all things buggish. Quirky and funny and so clever. In fact, I love the way the author celebrates the intricacies of God's creation in the midst of all the mayhem. There's a real sense of reverence that comes though which I haven't seen before in a novel. Shaylee also has a habit of finding something to be grateful for in any situation which I found very inspiring.

Then there's Bugsy, Jamey's cadaver search dog with the happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow personality. She's handy to have by your side in a crisis plus she excels at sharing puppy kisses and canine comfort when the situation calls for it. Great multi-tasker is Bugsy. :-)

The intricacies of a suspenseful plot paired with the burgeoning (and adorably awkward at times) romance made this a read-in-one-sitting kind of book. Oh -- and the fact that it mostly takes place in a wilderness setting notched up my enjoyment that much more.

CARTER, LISA

A K-9 Companions Story

My Review:

What a touching, hope-filled, heave-a-happy-sigh-at-the-end read!

Lisa Carter is one of my favourite authors for the emotional depth she brings to her stories and this one is exceptional. She deals with complicated issues surrounding grief with such compassion and insight. Yes, Juliet is stuck in her grieving process -- five years after the death of her husband -- but the author conveys the complexity and individuality that comes with each personal experience. We all grieve, but we grieve differently and that's okay. I loved that acceptance, along with the encouragement to move through stagnant emotions. I hope this doesn't make the book sound heavy, because it's not for all that the characters are dealing with difficult issues.

Moose is one of the reasons why. His spunky papillon-mix temperament makes him easy to love. He may be pint-sized but his heart is definitely moose-sized. And I loved the therapy dog part of this story. This multi-authored series is all about showcasing the amazing contributions our special canine friends can make in so many lives. And when Moose teams up with little Sophie in order to help her recover from a traumatic incident, well, hearts melt.

And then there's the ever so wary romance that sputters and stops and inches along between Rob and Juliet. Not really sweethearts in high school, but they were aware of each other and now years and life have brought them full circle.

Just to keep everyone on the straight and narrow, the Knit-Knack Club (aka seniors on a mission that doesn't involve something crafty...well, maybe crafty in a different kind of way!) add their "purls of wisdom for unsnarling the tangles of life." (p 22)

It really doesn't get any better than this!
