An Uncertain Choice

GIVEAWAY

HEDLUND, JODY
AN UNCERTAIN CHOICE

Due to her parents' promise at her birth, Lady Rosemarie has been prepared to become a nun on the day she turns eighteen. Then, a month before her birthday, a friend of her father's enters the kingdom and proclaims her parents' will left a second choice--if Rosemarie can marry before the eve of her eighteenth year, she will be exempt from the ancient vow.

Before long, Rosemarie is presented with the three most handsome and brave knights in the land. But when the competition for her heart seemingly results in a knight playing foul, she begins to wonder if the convent is the best place after all. If only one of the knights--the one who appears the most guilty--had not already captured her heart.

My Review:

A gripping Medieval tale full of dastardly plots and noble knights and a heroine who finds herself in the midst of it all. Love the almost fairy tale quality about the story. Rosemarie is all that is fair and good but she's terribly na├»ve and that makes her easy to manipulate. She comes into her own by the end of the story, thanks in part, to a certain appealing knight in shining armor. Loved the nod to our current culture's fixation on reality television in the form of the competition for Rosemarie's hand in marriage. Is it possible to fall in love within a month? You'll have to read An Uncertain Choice to find out!

  1. Good morning Kav, who doesn't love a medieval story with a Cinderella type ending once in a while. Sounds cute so I'll give it a try. rrwalter34ATailDOTcom

  9. I'm not entering the giveaway, Kav. I just wanted to say that I own An Uncertain Choice e-book, as well as a physical copy. On Jody's website she has a study to go with the book. My daughter and I are doing it together. It's definitely for a young adult, but I enjoy reading young adult books and this is a perfect book to read with a daughter.

And Jody is a wonderful author, so you can't really go wrong with any of her books :-) This kind of reminds me of that Disney movie, "Brave"...lol! Thanks for another great review Kav!
