Restoring Her Faith

GIVEAWAY
SLATTERY, JENNIFER
RESTORING HER FAITH

She left belief behind...yest this family could change her mind

With two boys to raise, a fledgling contracting business to run and a family ranch to keep afloat, widower Drake Owens finds his hands aren't just full -- they're overflowing. When Faith Nichols is hired to help him renovate the church, he's drawn to the beautiful artist, but he can't fall for a woman who isn't a believer. Can love restore her faith...and his heart?

My Review:

City girl meets country boy and sparks fly! Drake is all cowboy charm and Texan manners while Faith is about as closed off and prickly as a body can get! They both totally misread the other and start circling like wary prize fighters. So much fun!

Sage Creek is the kind of town you want to call home. Love the community dynamics which include a bevy of secondary characters clamoring for their own stories to be told. Since this is Jennifer Slattery's debut Love Inspired novel I sure am hoping it's the first of many and they all take place in Sage Creek!

A touching faith thread that moved me to tears brings extra depth to this sweet romance. And I love the role the church restoration plays in the plot, providing intriguing layers to different aspects of the story. Divinely delicious!

  1. Hey Kav, You know I am on self-induced LI restriction until I catch up on some I have,
but I do make exceptions, lol.
I love old churches and stained glass,
and I'm all about sparks flying ;)

    2. NOOOOOO!! Tracey there is NO such thing as TOO many Love Inspired books (or books period)...

I have over 400 LI books on my shelf so yeah, I'll never read them all in my lifetime..HAHA!! It brings me great comfort to see them, so it's good therapy...HAHA!!

    3. Exactly Kav, Just like I MUST read Killer Exposure by Jessica Patch that comes out May 1st, I'm hoping my Walmart will have it this Tues, they usually get the new releases the week before. I saw you had yours and I was a bit jealous, nice jealousy of course, hahaha.

Trixi, I talked to a reader from the LI facebook group who told me she had read 700 LI's in 10 years! I read other CF so no way I average 70 a year. I'm reading A Rumored Fortune right now, I've had it on my backlist awhile, so many books to choose from!

    4. Hmmm...I have Killer Exposure on my tbr pile right now and haven't decided which LIS to review this coming week...you might have inspired me. :-)

    5. Ah I see Tracey! I read other CF as well as Love Inspired but I couldn't tell you how many of those I average even in a month's time. I often have review books that take precedence so I don't get to as many LI as I'd like.

So many books, too little time!

  2. Why did I not realize this was Jennifer's FIRST Love Inspired? I mean, I've seen her name around Facebook and I get her newsletter too. Sheesh, that's how much attention I pay!

That being said, over on Facebook there is a group just for Love Inspired fans and Jennifer was recently the featured author of the week. She talked about this book and it was a lot of fun to get to know more about it and her as a writer. Of course I'm excited for a chance to win "Restoring Her Faith"!! I just think that's such a beautiful cover to boot.

    2. Yes, I knew that about New Hope Publishers but for some reason I didn't connect the dots that this was her very first Love Inspired book. :-)

    1. So much fun -- especially since they are both so guarded they keep making wrong assumptions about each other. Good luck, rubynreba!
