Sanctuary Cove

GIVEAWAY
JAMES, KATE
SANCTUARY COVE

Can his safe haven be enough for her?

Emma Meadows never imagined that sticking to her principles against an act of corruption by a New York senator would cost her her job as VP of communications. Heartbroken, she retreats to her cottage in the Adirondacks to lick her wounds and, in the process, rescues an injured dog that only Josh Whitmore can save.

The veterinarian works diligently to bring dog and woman back to full fighting form, until allegations against the senator become more serious. Seeing Emma's reaction to the increasing pressure, Josh realizes that inevitably she'll find a way back to the top...and he'll likely lose her for good.

My Review:

A three dog wonder with a veterinarian for a hero -- I am so into this story!!!! Max, Theo and Winston stole my heart but, no worries, Josh comes in a close fourth. Bwahahaha! My canine loving heart is well-satisfied and my romance loving heart is still in full swoon. Delicious romance (with lots of canine capers!) and a secondary suspense thread that brought some intrigue and complications to this classic love story.

Please Note: I usually read and review Christian Fiction but after a number of recommendations and the lure of dogs and romance, I gave this Harlequin Heartwarming novel a try and I'm glad I did. I'll definitely be reading more by Kate James. It's a clean read ( just a bit of mild language)

  10. Don't enter me, Kav, I already own this one. I follow and read quite a few of the different authors in this HH line. There are a number of Christian authors who cross-over into this line. I recently purchased With No Reservations by new Christian author Laurie Tomlinson and The Man She Knew by Loree Lough. Loree Lough's new one has me experiencing RAE!! It's the kind of second chance romance that I LOVE!

    1. Ooooh...thanks for the recommend, Terrill. I know you've talked about HH before and that helped sway me to give this one a try. I'll check out those other two titles.

    2. Thank you for reading Sanctuary Cove, Terrill. I hope you enjoyed it! I met Laurie for the first time on Tuesday at RWA 2017 in Orlando and she's as sweet as she is talented. Loree is one of my very favorite authors. Thank you for giving both of them a shout-out!

    3. You're welcome, Kate. Your books are always great - as your many reviewers share. :-) I wish I could have been at RWA! What a fabulous time you must have had. I talked to Carol Ross (another HH author I enjoy reading) before she left for Florida and she was just as excited as a fan as she was a fellow author.

    4. Hopefully, you will be able to make the conference one year. They're informative and fun, and a wonderful opportunity to catch up with author friends. It would be terrific meeting you in person, Terrill!

Thank you for your kind words. I am so happy you enjoy my books! :)
