Race for the Gold

GIVEAWAY

MENTINK, DANA
RACE FOR THE GOLD

Speed skater Laney Thompson still has nightmares about the car crash that almost shattered her lifelong dream. But as she's poised to compete in the world's most important games, she finds worse trouble. Someone wants her out of contention…badly. Laney won't let anything stop her—not sabotage, a stalker or partial amnesia. As she and her brooding trainer Max Blanco strive to overcome past tragedy, the ice between them starts to melt. But as the race draws closer, a killer becomes more desperate, and a race for the gold becomes a race for their lives!

My Review:

A topical read with the Winter Olympics just around the corner. I loved the unique twist to this Love Inspired Suspense. Mentink takes us into the intense and competitive world of pre-Olympic sports training. What a fascinating venue for a suspense novel! This is a real page-turner as strange and sinister things start happening to Laney as she's training for the pre-game trials. There are plenty of suspects that set my amateur sleuth spidey senses into overdrive. And who can resist a brooding hero who is wrestling with his own nightmarish past? Race for the Gold has all the elements of a stellar edge-of-you-seat read.
