My Review:

Superb romance! This author has become one of my favourites because of her unique settings and riveting plots. In Hazardous Homecoming even the suspense is  more...well, suspenseful! It's not just the danger lurking in every corner of the rugged landscape, but in the decades old mystery that doesn't want to be solved. Honestly, I was yo-yoing between suspects until every character in the book became a threat in my mind and then -- light bulb moment (not until very near the end though). It was just something that was said and I thought "Wait, why is it phrased that way?" Ohhhhhhhh! Rush of armchair-sleuth-solving adrenalin. Brilliant! And so is the romance. A wary first meet becomes a sweet, steady swell of something special until things get so complicated that Ruby and Cooper find themselves at opposite ends of an impossible mess. Talk about emotional entanglements! A page-turner from beginning to end.
