Rocky Mountain Reunion

GIVEAWAY

RADCLIFFE, TINA
ROCKY MOUNTAIN REUNION

A Second Chance at Forever

Nurse Anne Matson's structured life derails when a familiar patient enters her ER—the ex-husband she left ten years ago. Matthew Clark is the last person she expects to see in Paradise, Colorado, especially with a nine-year-old daughter. The single dad is running the town's biggest expansion project, but one thing stands in his way—Anne's Victorian home. When his daughter falls ill, and Anne volunteers to help with her care, Matt recognizes he's never stopped loving the spirited beauty. But how can he get her back when he plans to take all she has left…or can Anne see she has everything to gain—the family she's been denied?

My Review:

A delightfully tense (and wickedly funny) second chance romance.

Anne's world turns upside down when she runs into Matt in the middle of her ER. As far as first meets between hero and heroine go -- this one is priceless. And while Anne is reeling from the shock of meeting up with her ex-husband  after a decade apart, her exuberant coworkers have a field day at her expense. "The nursing assistants did rock-paper-scissors to see who got to wheel him to X-Ray."

Snort. And, yes, he's seriously that droolworthy. Proud and hurting, he doesn't want to feel anything for the woman who broke his heart. Keeping his distance is the obvious answer -- except circumstances keep conspiring against him. Love the hesitant tenderness that slowly creeps into their standoffish relationship. But, oh my goodness, it's complicated!

Funny and heart-rending by turn, this is the kind of love story that makes you want to stand up and cheer for the blockbuster ending.

  9. Kav, I've read Tina's book and loved it too. I've been following your reviews as your perspective is close to mine on most books. Can I ask a question, how are you able to read so many books each month and review them too? I'm in awe of your reading skills and would love to be able to read a book a day!

    1. In a nutshell...I have no life. Bwahahahaha! Seriously, I am home on medical leave with a chronic pain condition that pretty much keeps me from doing a whole lot. My weekly jaunt to the physical rehab clinic at the hospital and occasional visits to the library are my only excursions. Since I live alone and even limited with what I can do at home, that leaves me with a lot of time on my hands. Hence the reading therapy.

Before I stopped working I had a huge commute on public transit so I did a lot of my reading on the buses as well. Though I'm definitely reading more now that I'm home.

    2. I'm so sorry to hear about your pain condition. Books are a wonderful way to keep occupied when physically limited, I'm not as active as I once was either, hence the low carb plan, LOL.

  10. This would make a good diet program for 2016. Inhale a book a day instead of carbs.

  15. Reunion stories can be heartfelt. Time has changed the parties. They have matured, life has changed them, and they are two slightly different people dealing with an old attraction. This sounds like it will be a good version of this trope.
