Reunited at Christmas

GIVEAWAY

CALHOUNE, BELLE
RUNITED AT CHRISTMAS

A season to remember...

Two years after the avalanche everyone though had claimed her life, Ruby Prescott returns to the remote Alaskan town of Love. And no one is more ecstatic than her husband, Liam, and their young son. Even if amnesia has robbed Ruby of her memories, she's soon woven back into the fabric of their lives. As they celebrate the holiday season, Ruby is falling head over heels for the man she's told was the love of her life. But she can't escape the feeling that there's something Liam is keeping a secret. Will the return of her memories tear them apart for good -- or will this be a Christmas she'll never forget?

Alaskan Grooms: Meeting their matches in Love, Alaska

My Review:

I can't begin to tell you how much I love the Alaskan Grooms series. The characters have become real people and I want to visit Love and sample all it has to offer...though not the reindeer pizza, thank you very much! This is the fourth book and I sure hope there will be more to come. Each reads well independently but there is a delicious carryover of secondary characters who are so much fun to revisit. And there's a comedic secondary love story -- Grandpa Jasper's romance has been brewing (or should I say boiling?) in the background.

I don't know what it is about amnesia stories -- but a well-written one really draws me in and Ruby's ticked at all the boxes. Presumed dead for two years, she's been living void of memories until a chance encounter with a news show highlighting Love, Alaska's matchmaking program, Operation Love, sparks something familiar. Of course she has to investigate and that means a trip to Alaska where she hopes she'll find answers. And she does, only nothing seems to be familiar...especially the handsome doctor who claims to be her husband. Mercy -- talk about a romantical knot of heartache! Liam remembers every detail of their courtship and marriage and he's been grieving for years. And little Aidan is thrilled to have his mother back but confused over why she doesn't remember him. Does that mean she never loved him? Tear out my heart and stomp on it, why don't you, Belle Calhoune! And it all plays out against a nostalgic Christmas background. Phew, definitely an emotional blockbuster of a read!

  1. I think I have a couple of the Alaskan Grooms books on my shelf (yet-to-be-read), but I've read nothing but good things about them. I've also read a couple of books where amnesia takes front & center and it makes for an interesting twist in the story. This one even more since these two are married....I would love to find out how it all works out in the book! Thanks for the chance, Kav :-)

  8. I LOVE Belle Calhoune's books and have been excited for each new release in this series. When I first discovered her 7 brides for 7 brothers series, I went and got her three previous LI books. I was just going to suggest her LI book, Heart of a Soldier, but just checked and you had already reviewed it. Great minds and everything. :-) tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com

    2. Yes -- the diversity was a real pull for me too. And I haven't been able to read her 7 brides for 7 brothers series because it's only in ebooks. :-( But I really, really want to!!!!!!!! Good luck, Terrill.
