ReplyDeleteteamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
I've read your first and third choices...but not Karen Barnett's. Not sure that one was even in my sight lines. Hmmm...Good luck, Trixi.
DeleteI always love your reader's choice drawings, Kav. Such a great chance to review what I still have on my reading list.
ReplyDelete#1-A Flight of Arrows, by Lori Benton.

Delete#3-Dawn at Emberwilde, by Sarah Ladd
ReplyDeleteMy last choice for a new-to-me want-to-read author. There are just so many authors I want to read while still trying to keep up with my favorite authors! Such a great "problem"!
Thanks for the drawing Kav!
tracey14567 at gmail dot com
Isn't it a dilemma? Keeping up with your faves while on the search for new faves? You'll love Sarah Ladd though. And then you'll have a new fave and your list will get longer and...oy...delicious reader dilemmas. Good luck, Tracey.
DeleteTracey, I've read this one and LOVE Sarah's writing! She's one of my "newer" favorite authors :-)
DeleteThanks for the thumbs up on Sarah Ladd Kav and Trixi!

DeleteThat is what I have heard, Diana! I might have to "gift" it to myself this Christmas. ;)
DeleteArgh -- I just made an order with CB and Lionheart was on it but they took it off with a notation -- "not available in my territory". Gah, Canada isn't Timbuktu, people! Off to Book Depository to see if I can get it there. Good luck, Susan.
DeleteOh, Kav! You just have to read it! Whether you have to beg, steal, borrow, or move! Lol
DeleteI think it's cheaper on amazon right now Kav. If that works for you. :)
Deletehttps://www.amazon.ca/Lady-Lionheart-Joanne-Bischof-ebook/dp/B01FL8C9DG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481854256&sr=8-1&keywords=THe+Lady+and+the+Lionheart
Just thought I'd share just in case!
Hugs, A
I checked Canadian Amazon and they actually have it in stock and can ship right away. Usually they ship Christian Fiction in 4 - 6 weeks which is way too long to wait. So if I can find another book to go with it I can get free shipping and the book delivered to my door. It's still $20.00 though. Thanks for prompting me to look on Amazon, Amada.
DeleteYou're welcome! :) I'm sorry CB wouldn't get it to you. :/ I hope you can get a copy soon!!!

DeleteDiana, It was your review of The Lady and the Lionheart that prompted me to purchase a PB copy. I usually read it in digital form and if I want it on my keeper shelf I purchase a PB copy. It was a no-brainer! :-)
DeleteGah -- now I really have to get that book. LOL

DeleteUnlike you, Kav, I am never close to completing my TBR pile. I wouldn't know what to do with myself! Maybe, clean the house? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteMy first choice for a 2016 TBR read is: The Thorn Healer by Pepper Basham. Technically, I haven't really missed this one since it just came out a week or so ago, but definitely one I've been waiting for. tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com
My second choice is: Within the Veil by Brandy Vallance. tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteAnd my third choice is: Castles in the Clouds by Myra Johnson.
ReplyDeleteKav, you have precipitated by interest in Myra Johnson. After reading some of your reivews, I went and purchased her Horseman Trilogy from Truly Yours books. You've made me a fan. tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com
Yay -- a Myra Johnson convert. Awesomesauce! I so love her writing. Glad I could sway you and that you enjoyed her just as much as I do.
DeleteI haven't read any of Pepper's books yet. Have my eye on her new contemporary, Twist of Faith but haven't ordered it yet. Have to see what Santa brings my way first. :-) Good luck, Terrill.
Kav, I can almost guarantee that you will LOOOOOVE Pepper Basham's books!! Especially the historicals. Super romantic. I have her contemporary, but haven't read it yet. Kind of crazy when you think about it, since I lean more towards contemporaries. Hmm.
DeleteI've heard so many good things about Pepper's books. Thought I'd start with the contemporary because I think the historical is a three book series now and wasn't sure if they needed to be read in order. Must check that out.
DeleteKav, I don't know if you are an e-book reader, but A Twist of Faith is free on Kindle right now.
DeleteAlas, I'm not an ebook reader which makes things a little bit more complicated for me up here in Canada. But that's great news for everyone else. Thanks for mentioning it Sylvia.
DeleteKav, You are so giving, may your empty TBR be filled to the brim! (Which would be the ceiling!)
ReplyDeleteMy first very first very first (lol) that got away is Waves of Mercy by Lynn Austin.
