For Love and Honor

GIVEAWAY

HEDLUND, JODY
FOR LOVE AND HONOR

A wealthy noblewoman. A desperate knight. A dangerous secret that threatens their love...and their lives.

Lady Sabine is harboring a skin blemish, one, that if revealed, could cause her to be branded as a witch, put her life in danger and damage her chances of making a good match. After all, what nobleman would want to marry a woman so flawed?

Sir Bennet is returning home to protect his family from imminent attack by neighboring lords who seek repayment of debts. Without fortune or means to pay those debts, Sir Bennet realizes his only option is to make a marriage match with a wealthy noblewoman.

As Lady Sabine and Sir Bennet are thrust together under dangerous circumstances, will they both be able to learn to trust each other? Or will those secrets ultimately lead to their demise?

My Review:

A spectacular YA romance with a fairy tale feel. There's even a knight in shining armor, though he's the one who needs rescuing from a desperate situation. Sabine has the power to come to his aid -- or, at least, her fortune does. Neither are keen on a marriage devoid of love, but when Bennet pays court to his lady, friendship ensues -- with the promise of more...if only Sabine didn't harbor such a desperate secret. A thrilling blend of danger and romance will keep readers glued to the very last page.

  1. I am part of Jody's street team, but haven't read any of her YA books. I certainly want to remedy that and soon! :-)

P.S. Actually, I've never read a YA book by any author. However, I picked up a copy of Melanie Dickerson's "A Princess Spy" from my library as a fun read the other day & am starting it today :-) We'll see if she can change my mind about YA! I've heard great things about her writing.

    1. I enjoy the YA genre and love that there are more available in Christian Fiction. Jody Hedlund's style is definitely different between YA and Adult but she's a spellbinding storyteller in both genres. Good luck, Trixi.

  10. I'd love a copy of Jody's book. I wish there were more authors that would write good, clean fiction for YA that's not dystopian or vampires! There's an untapped market out there.

    2. I totally agree...and there are more Christian authors writing YA. I'm just discovering them now. I don't mind Dystopian, but I like other genres too...especially historical. Good luck, Arletta.

  11. I've had my eye on the books in this series since I first heard of them. I'm glad there are more Christian YA choices available (though I'm far above the target age, some, like Melanie Dickerson's fairy tales, are quite good).
