GIVEAWAY |
Spring has sprung!!! (in climates south of me, at least.) And that means publishers are getting ready to shower us with new releases. Everybody --SQUEEEP -- together! I am so excited.
So here's how this thing works: you recommend Christian Fiction with release dates of April, May or June 2019 (up to 3 a day) and you have a chance at winning one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details below before entering.
PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week
IT'S ROMANTIC SUSPENSE/MYSTERY GIVEAWAY DAY!
To be entered the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Romantic Suspense/Mystery genre you would like to win.
Romantic Suspense/Mystery
A full-length story or novella collection where mystery is an important part of the plot. The hero or heroine (or both) are often in peril (more so in suspense). Can be set in any time period -- contemporary or historical. May cross genres such as YA, Amish and dual timelines.
How does it work?
Easy Peasy! Make suggestions in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES
Publication dates must be
April, May or June 2019
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
3 separate comments
(makes it easier to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of
due to # of responses)
entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on somebody else's logon)
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about
Christian Fiction all over the world!!!
It's helpful if you include your email (using @ and . instead of AT and . to protect against spammers) but you only need to add it to one comment (per day). If you choose not to include your email it's up to you to contact me with your mailing address if you are a winner.
Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday March 30 2019
I'm excited to read Now and Then and Always by Melissa Tagg.

I am too, Chanel! Good luck!!!!
DeleteI found my first pick on the amazon mystery
ReplyDeleteand suspense list with this tag line,
"Vibrant historic Yellowstone National Park
comes to life in this romantic mystery
about a man hiding from the truth..."
1)Ever Faithful by Karen Barnett 6/18
Thank you Kav! tracey14567 at gmail dot com
Yes -- I've enjoyed the suspense elements in this vintage parks series! I love the mix of historical and mystery. Good luck, Tracey!
DeleteI've read The Road to Paradise, but need to catch up on book 2 before book three comes out, isn't that the way of things for readers, always behind!
DeleteI have 3 picked, but am only listing 2 as I'm not sure I really want to read the 3rd. Ha! Waiting for the others to drop by with their gems and then I'll add a 3rd choice perhaps.
ReplyDelete1) Now and Then and Always by Melissa Tagg (May 28) Labeled on Amazon as Christian Suspense & Mystery Romance so hope it works!

DeleteMe too! Her books continually receive high star ratings!
Delete3) Killer Exposure by Jessica Patch 5/1
ReplyDeleteThat carnival cover is plenty creepy!
I love, love, LOVE Jessica Patch! And love that creepy cover! Good luck, Tracey!
DeleteDoes this one qualify: Driftwood Bay by Irene Hannon
ReplyDeletejacsmi75 at gmail dot com
Still computer issues; at library now.
Sheltered by Soldier by Lisa Harris LIS May
ReplyDeletejacsmi75 at gmail dot com
Driftwood Bay isn't a suspense novel, Jackie. It's a must-read contemporary though. :-) Feel free to choose another title in its place. Good luck!

I am sooooo in a crazed bookish anticipatory swoon over Lisa Carter's suspense!!!! I adore her books! And who knew Becky Wade's new one had a suspense element in it?! That's exciting too. Good luck, Kay!
DeleteKay scooped me on the new Lisa Carter,
ReplyDeleteglad she found this one, there aren't a lot of mystery, suspense to choose from!
I deleted my 2nd entry and I'm copycating her :)
A Sound of Falling Leaves 6/25
I was catching up on the contemporary entries from last night before I came over here and Nicole Sager mentioned A Sound of Falling Leaves and I screamed. Literally. I love Lisa Carter's books sooooo much!
DeleteAnd did you notice that Kay also ferretted out that Becky Wade's Sweet on You has a suspense plot? Who knew?! Good luck, Tracey!
Yes I saw she had listed it but didn't have time early to check for mystery element (met the hubs for lunch) I love a dash of mystery in books so this makes it even more exciting. I picked it for my contemp category so I'll just leave it at that since I already changed one, don't need to go too crazy, lol
DeleteThis might turn out to be the most popular book of the week! Good luck, Kate!
ReplyDelete1. The Number of Love by Roseanna M White
ReplyDeleteI'm going to assume that "biological warfare, encrypted letters, and a German spy who wants to destroy not just them, but others they love" implies a wee bit of suspense.
rachaeldalquist AT yahoo DOT com
Bwahahahaha! Just a wee bit for sure. lol Good luck, Rachael!
DeleteI have an early readers copy (ARC) of this one, but thought maybe someone may need a suggestion. It should count on this category, if not, let me know
ReplyDeleteThe Noble Guardian by Michelle Griep (Bow Street Runners book 3)~June 1st
Hmmm....I don't think this one counts...it's not tagged as suspense or mystery on Amazon. The tagline is a bit deceptive but I think this one is more high adventure than intrigue. So, not for this giveaway but I sure am looking forward to reading it!

DeleteOh well, I was sure this counted because of this description on Goodreads "Abby sets off on a journey across England to marry one of the most prestigious gentlemen in the land—until highwaymen upset her plans and threaten her life." Then she pleads with Samuel Thatcher to safely escort her for the rest of her journey.
DeleteFiddlesticks! :-(
Sounds pretty suspenseful to me ! I'm requesting it as well.. the Bow Street Runners are all about Romantic Suspense + mystery. ..
DeleteSorry ladies, it's not tagged as suspense anywhere. The highwaymen seem to be at the beginning of the story and the catalyst that brings the hero and heroine together. After that it's just a cross country trek -- yes with action and danger -- but no indication of a mystery to be solved or a specific threat to the heroine in the trademark manner of a suspense story.
DeleteHA! GOT THE INSIDE SCOOP FROM THE AUTHOR HERSELF -- DRUM ROLL, PLEASE -- HISTORICAL ROMANTIC SUSPENSE SO THE NOBLE GUARDIAN WORKS FOR THIS CATEGORY!
Delete1. Now and Then and Always by Melissa Tagg
ReplyDeletewhthomas13 at yahoo dot com
DeleteGood luck, Winnie!
DeleteHave two LIS for today. Most of what I want to read is already been released or not until later in the year.
ReplyDelete1. Justice Mission (true Blue K-9 Unit book 2) by Lynette Eason~April
I am sooooo looking forward to this series! Have the first book winging it's way to me right now. Hopefully my friendly mailman will drop it off today. Woot! Good luck, Trixi!
Delete2. Sweet On You by Becky Wade
ReplyDeleteIf people are saying Sweet On You and Now and Then and Always have suspense elements, I'm not going to complain! And now, with a more careful read of the descriptions, I can see why they're on here.
rachaeldalquist AT yahoo DOT com
3. Now and Then and Always by Melissa Tagg
ReplyDeleterachaeldalquist AT yahoo DOT com
lol -- I guess once we read them we'll see if they really fit the category but Amazon seems to think so. :-) Good luck, Rachael!
Delete2. Justice Delivered (Memphis Cold Case book 4) by Patricia Bradley~April
ReplyDelete3. Blind Trust (True Blue K-9 Unit book 3) by Laura Scott~ June

Yeeeessssss! Patricia Bradley is awesome! And more K-9s! Good luck, Trixi!

That is a lovely cover! And Dana Mentink is a not-to-be-missed author for me. Good luck, Amada!
DeleteSO TRUE! I just LOVE Dana! She's always so original and has GREAT characters!
DeleteWoohoo! Like Tracey I found my other choice! I had no clue Lisa had another book coming out so soon!
ReplyDeleteA Sound of Falling Leaves by Lisa Carter (June 25)
I know -- this one is the hidden gem of the week, I think. Good luck, Diana!
DeleteIt sure is! Or was! lol The cover is fabulous, too.
DeleteOooohhh -- it is a lovely cover. I had to go hunting for it because it's not up on Amazon or even on the author's website. Finally found it. Now I want to read it even more!
DeleteWHERE is the cover?!!! I picked this one with no cover showing! I have done recon on Amazon , goodreads, her website and fb! Nope, no where!
DeleteFound it at last option, publisher. It looks like it's in keeping with A Vast and Glorious Tide. I like it.
DeleteI found the cover on CBD.com :-)
DeleteMe, too, Trixi. After hunting all over the place for it first. It seems like she doesn't do a lot of promo on her new books. Or at least not as much as some other authors do.
DeleteYes CB is where I finally found it too. Strange, eh? You would think the publisher would want to get it plastered all over the place -- especially on Amazon.
DeleteBTW if anyone is interested, Kelly Irvin has a new suspense coming out! It's entitled 'Over the Line' and releases on June 11!
ReplyDeleteEeeeppp -- I loved the first one in this series so I'll be looking out for this one as well. Thanks, Diana.
DeleteI love Kelly Irvin new suspense novels.
DeleteGood luck, Kate!

DeleteSo I struck out on my first suggestion, will this make it two for two? One I know you would "die" to get your hands on Kav...bwwahahaha!
ReplyDeleteToxic Toffee by Amanda Flower~ June 25th
Eeeeeppppp -- excuse me while I bounce off the walls for a bit. Phew. You know how much I love Amanda Flowers' cozies and Toxic Toffee has that Amish element as well which I also love! EeeeePPPP! Plus, you've reminded me that her magical bookshop book should be coming out very soon if it isn't already -- not Christian Fiction but I love it anyway. Good luck, Trixi!
DeleteLike you, Kav, I have really started to enjoy historical mysteries. Remember The Lost Girl of Astor Street? I loved that one and it was the book that sparked my interest in more like it. Although this choice is a dual timeline, it still has the historic aspect.
ReplyDelete1.) Whose Waves These Are by Amanda Dykes
tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com
I frequently check to see if there's a Lost Girl of Astor Street sequel -- so far none on the horizon but I sure loved that book and hoped it would be the start of a series.

DeleteWhen Karen Barnett released The Road to Paradise, I was smitten. I loved that it featured "my mountain." I grew up in the valley of Mr. Rainier and had a perfect view of it out my front window. Plus, those covers are amazing. I love retro and they captured the art perfectly.
ReplyDelete2.) Ever Faithful by Karen Barnett
tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com
And because you matched me up with Lisa Carter, I can't not pick this one.
ReplyDelete3.) A Sound of Falling Leaves by Lisa Carter
tlhcoupon(at)hotmail(dot)com
I love those retro covers too and am enthralled by the historical aspect of the parks. Love that you have story about 'your' mountain! That makes it extra special. As far as I'm concerned, this series could go on for awhile. Good luck, Terrill!

DeleteMy number 2 choice would be "Imperfect Justice" by Cara Putman. I'm kind of chomping at the bit for this one too.
ReplyDeletekellyblackwellwrites(at)gmail(dot)com
And number 3 is definitely "Murder in the City of Liberty" by Rachel McMillan. I think this one is like a dream.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance Kav!

Ooohhh -- a new Rachel McMillan!!!!!! And I've missed the first book in this series! Gah! Must catch up. Oh -- and Imperfect Justice was published two years ago so isn't eligible for this giveaway. Feel free to choose another book. Good luck, Kelly!
DeleteYay, my favorite genre!
ReplyDeleteThe Inn at Hidden Run by Olivia Newport sounds good.
Living Lies by Natalie Walters -- a new author for me!

ReplyDeleteBelinda Blake and the Snake in the Grass ! Heather Day Gilbert's new series June release .. can.not.wait!
ReplyDeleteOops 1 more wee detail...
ReplyDeletefaithhopecherrytea{atgmaildot}com
Ooohhh -- a cozy mystery series with critters!!!! The Noble Guardian doesn't fit this category though -- it's not tagged as suspense and the descriptor indicates that, while there's a bit of danger at the beginning of the story, it's just a straight historical romance. Good luck FHC!
DeleteSO -- ACCORDING TO THE AUTHOR THE NOBLE GUARDIAN CAN BE CONSIDERED ROMANTIC SUSPENSE SO IT'S ALL GOOD.
DeleteRomantic suspense is a newish genre for me that I absolutely LOVE. I'm working on getting caught up on some great authors and titles I've missed in the last few years and I'm getting some great suggestions for new additions to my TBR list!

DeleteThis is nice that Ever Faithful by Karen Barnett also qualifies as a suspense....as the series has been so good..... but not the type stories that would make one hear noises in the night.

Both these two tiles would fit in this romantic suspense category (if you scroll down on their Amazon page you'll see where they list the genres under Product Details) but they also fit under contemporary since the story (or part of it, in the case of a dual timeline) takes place in present day. Does that help?
