Her Handyman Hero

GIVEAWAY
BEATTY, LORRAINE
HER HANDYMAN HERO

Building a dream

Reid Blackthorne arrives in Dover on a personal mission -- to make sure his terminally iill brother gets a chance to meet his daughter.

Deceiving little Lily's guardian isn't his intention. Yet once Tori Montgomery mistakes Reid for her new handyman, he knows it's the only way to be close to his niece. Tori is honoring her her friend's last wish by keeping Lily away from her father's family. And once she learns who Reid truly is, she realizes there's too much at stake -- including custody of Lily -- for her to fall for the former DEA agent. But in keeping a promise, is she losing out on her chance for a happily-ever-after?

Home to Dover: A small town with a big heart

My Review:

Seriously? This is number 10 in the Home to Dover series and I'm just discovering Lorraine Beatty now? How is that even possible?! I'm hanging my head in shame and almost willing to hand in my avid reader card over this appalling oversight. All I can say is that I have a lot of catching up to do because Beatty writes the kind of tumultuous, tummy-fluttering, nail-biting romance that I love to read.

There's angst a plenty -- including the edge-of-your-seat dreaded anticipatory kind since the reader knows who Reid is from the very start while Tori is naively clueless. My heart hurts just thinking about it. Both their lives are impossibly complicated and both struggle with trust issues. He's so used to lying undercover he's almost forgotten who he is. She's so nervous of messing up this motherhood thing that she's lost faith in herself and clings to promises she made to her dying friend. Both need to move forward in faith...in God and in themselves. And if they manage to do that, they have a shot at a spectacular happily-ever-after.

  3. I will have to hang my head down as guilty beside you because I've not heard of the Home to Dover series either. However, after reading your fantastic review, I'd sure love to rectify that.

Love the cover which would attract me to this book for sure. Love that the dog is front and center where you can see he's playing and very happy. :) Can't miss the water in the background either.

Thanks for the chance to win a copy of "HER HANDYMAN HERO"! I will gladly read them backwards because from what you say once I read one I'll definitely want to read the rest.
