HER SECRET AMISH CHILD /
LANCASTER COUNTY REUNION

Discover truth and love in these two Amish tales

Her Secret Amish Child by Cheryl Williford -- Widow Lizbeth Muller has kept secret the identity of her son's father -- even now that the man in question is her landlord. Fredrik Lapp may not know Benuel is his son, but the two soon form an unmistakable bond. And with her affections resurfacing, the burden of Lizbeth's secret is only getting heavier. Revealing the truth could mean a lifetime together -- or the loss of their second chance at forever.

Lancaster County Reckoning by Kit Wilkinson -- Darcy Simmons discovers the father she thought dead is alive and in witness protection in Amish country. His attackers are now after her to produce what he was hiding. The only person she can depend on is Amish farmer Thomas Nolt, her father's neighbor and friend. But with men willing to kill, can Thomas and Darcy find the items her father stole before their time runs out?

My Review:

Both books were released in 2017
As always, my thanks to my public library for providing me with another amazing retro read! What would we do without our libraries?!

From a New Order Amish community in Pinecraft, Florida to the more traditional Old Order community in Lancaster County, Love Inspired has paired two great Amish novels into one glorious  back-to-back read.

I've never read anything by Cheryl Williford (Her Secret Amish Child) so this was a great introduction. I've always been fascinated by the Amish community in Pinecraft, Florida and loved this second chance romance story. There's plenty of angst as Lizbeth and Fredrik become reacquainted, coming to grips with their pasts in order to make the most of their future.

And there's nothing like the unique blend of Amish and suspense which Kit Wilkinson provides in Lancaster County Reckoning. Be prepared for a twisty-turny plot and danger lurking around every corner in this breath-snatching visit to Amish country.

    1. Like that they matched a LI with a LIS too -- gives people a chance to sample a genre they might not be sure of while still getting one they know they are going to like.(if that makes any sense) Good luck, Trixi.

  3. I am not familiar with either author but do enjoy learning more about Pinecraft, FL. I remember Googling that after reading some of Shelley Shepard Gray's books that were set there. Rather a surprising community. Thanks! And thinking of a pleasant beach area to walk (we wish!), how are you doing with your exercise program?

    1. Isn't it intriguing? And Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore did a series in Pinecraft that I quite liked. Sherry Gore lives in Pinecraft so you know they have the details right! Good luck, CC.

  9. I have been to Pinecraft, Florida. I only live a few hours away and would love to go back. There is an Amish market next to Yoder's Restaurant where authentic Amish food is served. Bring your appetite because you will not go away hungry.
