Reader's Choice -- Contemporary Romance

GIVEAWAY

Squeeeep!!! We're coming to the close of 2019 and you know what that means! An avid reader's fancy turns to the 2020 new releases! Which also means... it's time for:

 Reader's Choice Giveaway!

So here's how this thing works: You recommend CHRISTIAN FICTION titles with release dates in January, February or March 2020 (up to three suggestions per genre day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.

PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week. :-(

IT'S CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE/FICTION GIVEAWAY DAY!

To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Contemporary Romance/Fiction genre you would like to win.

Contemporary Romance/Fiction

A full length story or novella or collection of novellas set in any time period after 1980. May cross genres such as YA, suspense, Amish etc and may include dual timelines.

How does it work?

Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

Publication dates must be
January, February or March 2020
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions per genre day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to
# of responses)
entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's  logon)
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about Christian Fiction
all over the globe!!!!!

It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email then it's up to you to contact me if you're a winner.

Draw will held and winner announced on
Saturday December 21  2019

  1. Ran fever all nite which means a trip to the Dr today. Ugh! I think it's a UTI & I don't have time for one! It's the holidays! :-( So what better way to cheer myself up than to talk about new, upcoming CF! :-)

    1. Alas, this one isn't Christian Fiction. It is marked as clean and wholesome which is different from her previous Bridgeport series. I read the first one in that series and was very disappointed with content and issues -- not as graphic as regular mainstream but not squeaky clean either. This is a case where it would be a good idea for an author to use a pen name when breaking from standards fans have come to expect from her. Now this new series may be very different -- the labeling is more specific -- but it still isn't Christian Fiction. So....choose again!

    2. How disappointing! I'm glad you let me know! So agree about the pen name. Will this work?

    3. Works for me -- a new series by Colleen Coble -- woot! And I don't want to lead you astray with your first choice since it's tagged as clean and wholesome and the previous series wasn't. I'm going to wait for my library to get it in and then I'll read it and let y'all know what I think. :-)

    1. Ah -- yuck to be sick a week before Christmas! Praying the doctor fix you up with the meds necessary to clear that infection and you'll be better in no time. Hugs.

I'm squealig over both Courtney Walsh and Carla Laureano having books coming out back to back in February. That's exciting news! Good luck, Diana (and get better!)

    2. Thanks, Kav. Not to mention it's my birthday Friday! ugh... Sending hugs back your way. Unless I have something contagious in which case I withdraw them. lol

    3. No need to withdraw hugs. I just got back from Dr. I do have a UTI. Antibiotics aren't fun either!

    1. Screeeeechhhh!!!! Nicole Deese!!!! Love that cover...every understated but beckons to me. I'm happy dancing over this one!

I'm a bit panicky about a new Susan May Warren book -- I've just started Knox!!!! Finally. Last night!!!! Swooning my way through between Knox and Tate. Luckily we're in a deep chill so I can stick my head outside occasionally to cool off. :-) Good luck, Tracey!

    2. Tate and Ford were my favs, although Ruby Jane finished it off with quite the bang. The Way of the Brave is a new series, so don't worry about just starting the Marshall series. I just got an approval email to review right after I picked The Way of the Brave, so I'm switching that one up. I'm sure we readers give you a "run for your money" this week, sorry, lol

      Delete
    3. Starfish Pier by Irene Hannon is my 3rd choice :)

    1. Alas this isn't a Christian Fiction selection -- here's what I mentioned to Diana:

t is marked as clean and wholesome which is different from her previous Bridgeport series. I read the first one in that series and was very disappointed with content and issues -- not as graphic as regular mainstream but not squeaky clean either. This is a case where it would be a good idea for an author to use a pen name when breaking from standards fans have come to expect from her. 2. I am sorry as just assumed with that author it was Christian fiction, and I didn't look closely. So, I will move on to another one I considered - The Way of the Brave by Susan May Warren. I love reading about the beautiful settings in her recent series - in addition to her always interesting characters. Thanks!

      Delete
    3. No worries -- it's confusing when an author not only switches genres but content too. It's unexpected. I'll read a library copy of it and let you know what I think...I don't want to discourage people from reading Shelley's books -- just want these giveaways to be all about Christian Fiction since that's the main focus of the blog and pretty much all I read (except for by cozy mystery sideline. lol)

I'm finally reading Knox!!! And now that series is over and a new one is beginning. How will I ever catch up?! Good luck, CC!

    1. This is interesting because we had it as a choice in the last Reader's Choice giveaway too. The author told me that there had been delays from the publisher but she said it would release until the fall 2020 and it's not up on Amazon at all. Just on Good Reads...I'm thinking it's not going to be releasing in the next three months so you might want to suggest another title or else you'll have nearly a year's wait if you win this one. lol

      Delete
    2. Oh dear I see the issues now! LOL! I was so caught up in trying to find genre I didn't see the release date problem. The link on goodreads will lead you to an amazon page, but it says Oct. 2020. I'll just delete it and stick with Melody's. :)
