My Review:

I'm definitely a fan of this series! I really like the bounty hunter angle. It's something I never really thought about other than in an old west black-and-white movie kind of way :-) so it's been interesting to discover exactly what bounty hunters do...and shouldn't do. Night does a great job of including interesting tidbits on the profession throughout the story. 

Oh -- and by the way -- Hostage Pursuit reads wonderfully well as a standalone so no worries if you haven't read Fugitive Chase...yet. You'll likely want to play catch up though since this is turning into an awesome series!

There's lots of tension, emotional and suspense-y, in this gripping read! It's starts out with a nail-biter of an opening scene and doesn't let up until the spectacular take-no-prisoners finale. :-) 

Daisy is relentless in an energizer bunny kind of way. Nothing is going to stop her from rescuing her mom and taking the kidnappers into custody. And Martin is right by her side every step of the way...which is sometimes kinda awkward because though they've known each other for years (he's her brother's best friend), an attraction has been brewing and neither is ready to address the change in their emotional dynamics. Cue the endearing (and sometimes toe-curling) awkward moments. Loved those! 

This author is particularly ruthless (creatively so) in what she puts her hero and heroine through! Lot's of edge-of-your-seat moments paired with fascinating investigative leg work made this a consume-in-one-gulp read!
