Reader's Choice - Historical Fiction

GIVEAWAY

It's time to help me plan my New Year reading (and future giveaways) by recommending new releases (publication dates January, February or Mach 2019) and you have a chance to win one of the books you recommend! Remember to read all the details before entering!

IT'S HISTORICAL ROMANCE GIVEAWAY DAY

To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Historical Romance genre you would like to win.

Historical Romance

A full-length story where the romance plays a major role and is set in the time period before the late 1970s. May cross genres such as suspense, dual timelines, Amish, YA.

How does it work?

Easy-peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

Publication dates must be
January, February or March 2019
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to
# of responses)
NEW - entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's logon) - NEW
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about Christian Fiction
all over the globe!!!!

It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday December 22 2018

  1. Good morning and Merry Christmas Kav!
You said yesterday your notebook is empty for 2019, what?! let's just get to fixin that right now.

I have read review copies of A Bound Heart by Laura Frantz, My Heart Belongs in the Blue Ridge by Pepper Basham and Castle on the Rise by Kristy Cambron, so I can recommend these 3 wholeheartedly! Loved all 3!

My #1 pick is Daughters of Northern Shores by Joanne Bischof coming in March. I can't wait to get ahold of this one!

Thank you Kav for the fun giveaways and hope you fill that notebook right up this week (I have 17 on my 2019 list already) :)

  2. #2 is A Desperate Hope by Elizabeth Camden in Feb. Third in the series and only my third Camden book, I want to read all of hers, especially the one about the library.

  3. #3 was a toss up, but I'm going with Flights of Fancy by Jen Turano coming in Jan.

The other book I contemplated is With This Pledge by Tamera Alexander. I read everything of hers, but an early reviewer (who loves all her books) said the first 1/3 of the book was filled with civil war gore and I have a hard time with specific details of such, so I am waiting to hear from other readers on how they feel about it..

    1. Wooowheeee! You're starting us off with a band, Tracey! I'd seen hints about Laura Frantz and Pepper Basham's books around Good Reads so I expected they were coming out soon but I hadn't done the work to dig out all the facts. I waited to let y'all do that for me. I'm lazy that way. Ha! And I'm squealing over another chance to pay a visit to Blackbeard Mountain! Woot! I have something for each month now. Thanks, Tracey!

  4. Good morning, Kav, and fellow book lovers! Tracey mentioned a couple of my picks, but 1st a recommendation. In the Shadow of Croft Towers by Abigail Wilson. Gothic Regency which releases Jan. 15th. Very good!

This is #1 on my b'day wishlist which is Thurs (hubby will have to give me an IOU unless I win it, of course. lol) Looking forward to b-day but I'm not quite ready for Christmas to happen just yet. Ready or not, here it comes.

    1. BTW In the Shadow of Croft Towers came up lacking w/o a spiritual thread, otherwise I would've given a 5 stars bc it was really good. It's clean and is labeled Christian fiction and author is member of ACFW.

    2. Oopsie. I didn't see "Daughters of" on the book cover in white font. But I meant Daughters of Northern Shores. It's what happens when you look at books on Kindle instead of the PC. Sigh...

    1. Eeeeppp!!! Regency Gothic -- I'm so there! Not surprising about the lack of a faith thread though since it's published by Thomas Nelson. Between Two Shores has a Canadian connection so that's exciting to me! It's going to be a good winter for reading. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Good luck, Diana. And happy December birthday!
