Reader's Choice -- Contemporary Romance

GIVEAWAY

It's time to help me plan my New Year reading (and future giveaways) by recommending new releases (publication dates January, February or Mach 2019) and you have a chance to win one of the books you recommend! Remember to read all the details before entering!

IT'S CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE GIVEAWAY DAY

To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Contemporary Romance genre you would like to win.

Contemporary Romance

A full-length story where the romance plays a major role and is set in the present day (1980s up). May cross genres such as dual timelines, Amish, YA, Suspense etc.

How does it work?

Easy-peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

Publication dates must be
January, February or March 2019
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to
# of responses)
NEW - entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's logon) - NEW
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about Christian Fiction
all over the globe!!!!

It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday December 22 2018

  1. Happy Tuesday, ONE week until Christmas :)

#1 Brunch at Bittersweet Café by Carla Laureano

I've been looking forward to book two in The Saturday Night Supper Club series.

Thanks for all the fun Kav, it's like being a kid again and telling Santa what I want for Christmas! or should I call you Mrs. Claus?! :)

A new to me author, but I've heard good things about her 1st book. This one has my favorite things, a bookstore, journals and finding love along the way releasing in Feb.

    1. Bwahahaha! Nope -- definitely not Mrs. Clause...more like the acquisitions librarian for the North Pole Library...how about that? :-)

So, your list has me squeeping loud enough to shatter the icicles dangling from my eaves. What a line-up. So read for the Bittersweet Cafe one now that I've had a taste of Carla Laureano's writing. Plus, I have Five Days in Skye on my TBR pile right now!!!!!! Woot!!!

And it looks like Knox is a suspense which is super exciting. I knew Susan May Warren wrote suspense a while back but I've never been able to get a hold of any of them...think she might have done some LIS if I'm remembering my research right. Anyway -- will be excited to delve into this one as well...and first of a series. Eeep. Good luck, Tracey!

    2. What?! You've never read Susan May Warren?
She is my most read author according to Goodreads, they keep track and say I've read 57 books and novellas of hers. And yes she even did 3 or 4 LIS way back, and they were good. Start with the Christiansen series if you are of a mind to give her a try, you won't be sorry, I promise!!!Knox is tagged as western, mystery and romance so it covers a lot of territory :) I hope that counts, honestly the contemp release for the first 3 months are few and far between, but I have 4 picked out in April!
I can see you as the North Pole Librarian recommending books to all the workers who need stress relief, seems like a good fit to me ;)

    3. No, no, no...I HAVE read Susan May Warren books (and adore the Christiansens) BUT i've never read her LIS or earlier suspense books...I started reading her straight contemporary romances. I think there's a whole recent series I've missed as well...about fire fighters? maybe? Must check into that.

And yes, my North Pole librarian duties are very fulfilling. Those elves are avid readers in their down time...not that there's much of that these days. Mind you they Boxing Day is a D.E.A.R.Day -- Drop Everything And Read -- everyone gets into the act, even the reindeer and they read, read, read and munch on leftovers all day.

I think Jolina Petersheim's book counts in this category because the description indicates that romance plays an integral part of the plot so you're good. Though it does look angsty! Shivering in delightful anticipation! Good luck, Diana.

I must confess I had a hard time keeping up with 3, so after prayer and consideration I ended up reading the first one, one time period at a time skipping chapters in between and going back to them to read them together and I LOVED IT! IT was SO COOL! ;) So I might be doing that again ;)
