GIVEAWAY |
It's time to help me plan my New Year reading (and future giveaways) by recommending new releases (publication dates January, February or Mach 2019) and you have a chance to win one of the books you recommend! Remember to read all the details before entering!
IT'S CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE GIVEAWAY DAY
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Contemporary Romance genre you would like to win.
Contemporary Romance
A full-length story where the romance plays a major role and is set in the present day (1980s up). May cross genres such as dual timelines, Amish, YA, Suspense etc.
How does it work?
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!
Publication dates must be
January, February or March 2019
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to
# of responses)
NEW - entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's logon) - NEW
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about Christian Fiction
all over the globe!!!!
It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.
Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday December 22 2018
Happy Tuesday, ONE week until Christmas :)
ReplyDelete#1 Brunch at Bittersweet Café by Carla Laureano
I've been looking forward to book two in The Saturday Night Supper Club series.
Thanks for all the fun Kav, it's like being a kid again and telling Santa what I want for Christmas! or should I call you Mrs. Claus?! :)

#2 Knox by Susan May Warren
ReplyDeleteA new series coming in March
Eeekkkk! I had no idea! It looks good!
Delete#3 The Secret of Paper and Ink by Lindsay Harrel
ReplyDeleteA new to me author, but I've heard good things about her 1st book. This one has my favorite things, a bookstore, journals and finding love along the way releasing in Feb.
Bwahahaha! Nope -- definitely not Mrs. Clause...more like the acquisitions librarian for the North Pole Library...how about that? :-)
DeleteSo, your list has me squeeping loud enough to shatter the icicles dangling from my eaves. What a line-up. So read for the Bittersweet Cafe one now that I've had a taste of Carla Laureano's writing. Plus, I have Five Days in Skye on my TBR pile right now!!!!!! Woot!!!
And it looks like Knox is a suspense which is super exciting. I knew Susan May Warren wrote suspense a while back but I've never been able to get a hold of any of them...think she might have done some LIS if I'm remembering my research right. Anyway -- will be excited to delve into this one as well...and first of a series. Eeep. Good luck, Tracey!
What?! You've never read Susan May Warren?
DeleteShe is my most read author according to Goodreads, they keep track and say I've read 57 books and novellas of hers. And yes she even did 3 or 4 LIS way back, and they were good. Start with the Christiansen series if you are of a mind to give her a try, you won't be sorry, I promise!!!Knox is tagged as western, mystery and romance so it covers a lot of territory :) I hope that counts, honestly the contemp release for the first 3 months are few and far between, but I have 4 picked out in April!
I can see you as the North Pole Librarian recommending books to all the workers who need stress relief, seems like a good fit to me ;)
No, no, no...I HAVE read Susan May Warren books (and adore the Christiansens) BUT i've never read her LIS or earlier suspense books...I started reading her straight contemporary romances. I think there's a whole recent series I've missed as well...about fire fighters? maybe? Must check into that.
DeleteAnd yes, my North Pole librarian duties are very fulfilling. Those elves are avid readers in their down time...not that there's much of that these days. Mind you they Boxing Day is a D.E.A.R.Day -- Drop Everything And Read -- everyone gets into the act, even the reindeer and they read, read, read and munch on leftovers all day.
Haha, we both have vivid imaginations don't we, I love it!

Eeeeppp! Three more new-to-me titles here. Love all three authors and feeling guilty because I think I'm at least one book behind when it comes to Kara Isaac! But I'm caught up with the other two. Phew! Good luck, Jackie!
Delete1) Secrets at Cedar Cabin by Colleen Coble (romantic suspense) Jan 22
ReplyDeletedianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
Kav, in my search the other day I stumbled on this one, but it's women's fiction and not sure it counts. If not I'll pick another!
ReplyDelete2) How the Light Gets In by Jolina Petersheim (March 5)
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
And ohmygoodnessgracious check out this cover! Thud.
ReplyDelete3) Knox by S.M. Warren (Mar 12)
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
Thud is right! lol And it's a suspense novel...maybe series? How cool is that?!
DeleteI think Jolina Petersheim's book counts in this category because the description indicates that romance plays an integral part of the plot so you're good. Though it does look angsty! Shivering in delightful anticipation! Good luck, Diana.
Thanks, Kav! Groannn, so many good books coming out before spring. I had no clue! Keeping my fingers crossed for that gift card from hubby for my b'day! I think post-it notes all over the house are in order. LOL!
Deletelol -- nothing like a gift card with a book target in mind.

Thanks Kav!!!
DeleteYou're welcome, Heidi! I'm looking forward to all these as well. Good luck!
DeleteI always struggle with Contemporary because I read so little of it outside of Love Inspired books. I found three that I hope fit this category!
ReplyDelete#1 The Forgiving Jar by Wanda Brunstetter (February)
I've had my eye out for this ever since I read The Hope Jar!
I'm going with DiAnn's suggestion and like her, hope it fits! Sounds like a good story.
ReplyDelete#2 How the Light Gets In by Jolina Petersheim (March)
#3 Courting Mr. Emerson by Melody Carlson (March)
ReplyDeleteteamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
You done good, Trixi. All these work. And you read Amish and suspense novels and they count as contemporary so you likely have more that fit this genre than you think. Good luck!
DeleteKnox by Susan May Warren/ cheetahthecat1986ATgmailDOTcom
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Kim! This looks to be the most popular contemp book so far today.
DeleteThe forgiving Jar by Wanda Brunstetter/ cheetahthecat1986ATgmailDOTcom
ReplyDeleteHa -- you and Kate are playing leap frog! Good luck, Kim!
DeleteI had no trouble coming up with historical choices, but I only had one contemporary on my upcoming releases wish list. I was hoping Becky Wade's next release would count, but I checked and it doesn't release until April=(

Seems like spring is the season for contemporaries! And we always find the perfect book that's just one month off the dates for these Readers Choice giveaways. It's an avid reader Murphy's law! lol Good luck, Patty!
DeleteI am another reader who was thinking - Becky Wade. Alas, we must wait longer for the third in the series! Knox by Susan May Warren. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCourting Mr. Emerson by Melody Carlson.
ReplyDeleteA Faithful Gathering by Leslie Gould. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOooohhhh -- The cover for A Faithful Gathering is so pretty!!!!! Love all the blues! And I do love the way Leslie Gould tells a story. Added to my list. Woot! Good luck, CC!

ReplyDelete3. Secrets at Cedar Cabin by Colleen Coble

I have quite a few Contemporary this year! Shoker for me! ;) LOL!
DeleteEeep -- I didn't connect to the fact that Kristy Cambron's is a dual timeline! I'm jazzed! And I have Ruthy's book on my bedside table waiting to be read. Yay! Good luck, Amada!
DeleteYES Ma'am! The first one was TRI-time period and so I don't know if this one is going to be 2 or 3 again! I must confess I had a hard time keeping up with 3, so after prayer and consideration I ended up reading the first one, one time period at a time skipping chapters in between and going back to them to read them together and I LOVED IT! IT was SO COOL! ;) So I might be doing that again ;)
DeleteOH GOODIE I can't wait to see what you think, Ruthy is such a good author! I love her plot themes!
Thank you!
