GIVEAWAY |
It's time to help me plan my New Year reading (and future giveaways) by recommending new releases (publication dates January, February or Mach 2019) and you have a chance to win one of the books you recommend! Remember to read all the details before entering!
IT'S CHRISTIAN FICTION GIVEAWAY DAY
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Christian Fiction genre you would like to win.
Christian Fiction
Any genre, including previous selections you've made on other days and also for specific genres not already covered -- like Novellas, Women's Fiction, Speculative Fiction, Sci-Fi etc.
How does it work?
Easy-peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!
Publication dates must be
January, February or March 2019
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to
# of responses)
NEW - entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's logon) - NEW
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about Christian Fiction
all over the globe!!!!
It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.
Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday December 22 2018

A Desperate Hope by Elizabeth Camden
ReplyDeleteBrunch at Bittersweet Café by Carla Laureano
ReplyDeleteNow to get baking all those Christmas cookies!
Yes, I am greatly comforted by my healthy book lists now. Contented sigh. Good luck, Tracey!
DeleteGood morning, Kav! What a delightful week this has been! I had no clue so many great books were releasing before spring. Hard to believe Christmas is in 4 days!
ReplyDelete1) Daughters of Northern Shores by Joanne Bischof
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
2) How the Light Gets In by Jolina Petersheim
ReplyDeletedianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
I think I'd like to try this new-to-me author.
ReplyDelete3) Convergence by Ginny Yttrup
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
Did a little research on Ms. Yttrup's last book 'Invisible' just for fun and it got almost all 5 stars out of approx. 250 reviews! Guess she's one to keep on our radar.
DeleteWell, that definitely sounds intriguing. How did we miss Ginny's books? Putting a star next to this one on my list. Good luck, Diana!
DeleteThanks, Kav! I'm not very brave about trying new authors and do so very tentatively. I tend to stick with my faves for the most part. I think I'm the only Christian fiction reader/reviewer who has never read Ronie Kendig's books. Please no tomato throwing, y'all. lol
DeleteDiana, I haven't read any of Ronie's books either so you aren't alone!
DeleteBy the way, on a side note, tomato juice is good if you get sprayed by a skunk. 😆
Trixi, good to know I'm not alone!
Deletehaha Hopefully I won't need the tomato juice, but in the South one never knows.

DeleteI've enjoyed looking through the anticipated releases for the beginning of the year!
ReplyDeleteMy first pick would be...
The Curse of Misty Wayfair by Jaime Jo Wright

ReplyDeletekleehar[@]gmail[.]com
Good luck, Kristin!
Delete2. Between Two Shores by Jocelyn Green (the cover on this book is just gorgeous--I think I could sit and look at it for hours without cracking the book open, and that's even with knowing the author's quality of writing)
ReplyDeleterachaeldalquist AT yahoo DOT com
3. Daughters of Northern Shores by Joanne Bischof
ReplyDeleterachaeldalquist AT yahoo DOT com
Historical always have the best covers. I'd like to arrange my pretty books on ledge type bookshelves so that they can be displayed like art. Alas, I'd need a mansion with many rooms in order to have enough walls to shelve them all that way. lol Good luck, Rachael!
DeleteBecause I'm a Kansas girl, my next pick would be Coffee Club Mysteries by Franklin, Hickey, Ludwig, etc...
ReplyDeleteLajobirt06 AT Verizon DOT net
My final pick (it was tough to eliminate)...
ReplyDeleteA Bound Heart by Laura Frantz
Lajobirt06 AT Verizon DOT net
It's tough to narrow things down, isn't it? Good luck, Lanna!

#2 How the Light Gets In by Jolina Petersheim
ReplyDelete#3 Almost Home by Valerie Fraser Luesse

DeleteThe Warrior Maiden by Melanie Dickerson releases Feb 5th. I thought you might want to add it to your list ^_^
Eeeeeppppp -- Melanie Dickerson's Mulan retelling is coming out!!!! Eeeeeepppp!!! Thanks for sounding the alarm, Samantha.
DeleteYour first choice sounds interesting -- a bit out of my comfort zone but a series I'd like to try. I'm figuring since it's speculative, it would be best to read the books in order? One of my goals for 2019 is to give some Enclave Publishing books a try. Good luck, Samantha!
It follows the same character all throughout the series. So, yes, it would be best to read them in order :)
DeleteThank you Kav for this week!

ReplyDeleteCan't believe it's the end of Reader's Choice already! I've seen a few I need to put on my own want-to-read list :-) This one is by a new-to-me author but it sounds good!
ReplyDelete#1 Almost Home by Valerie Fraser Luesse (March)
P.S. I see she also wrote Missing Isaac (I missed that one too)
#2 The White City by Grace Hitchcock (March)
ReplyDeleteHow about a Biblical fiction? Nobody has chosen one of those yet :-)
ReplyDelete#3 Of Fire and Lions by Mesu Andrews (March)
teamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
I read Missing Isaac and really enjoyed Valerie's storytelling so I'm excited about this next one. And you're right about biblical fiction -- not one mention until now! Mesu Andrews is a great place to start. Good luck, Trixi!
