Delete2) A Seat by the Hearth Amy Clipston 11/13
ReplyDelete3) Amish Christmas Emergency Dana Lynn 11/1
ReplyDeleteHits three categories, suspense, Amish and Christmas, has to be good, right?
Everyone on the east coast, be careful, he safe, God is watching over us!
I heard on the news that the hurricane has been downgraded to a 2 but maybe we could pray it down to a 0? Praying for you guys -- wild weather like that isn't something I've ever experienced or had to prepare for so I can't even imagine = outside of books -- what it's like.
DeleteTracey -- I do so like when a book comes genre loaded -- Christmas, Amish, suspense sounds like a winner to me! Good luck!

I love Amy Clipston's books!!!! Waiting on one from the library right now. And I didn't know Kathleen Fuller has a new one coming out as well. How cool is that???? Wunderbar, I should say. :-) Good luck, Kathleen!
DeleteKav, Thank you so much for showing us how to use an advanced search with after date... That's where I found it!
DeleteGlad it worked for you -- and especially thankful that Melissa and Carrie shared their inside strategies.
DeleteOH I missed something! There's book searching strategies I don't know about! Woe is me! ;) Where can I learn this?

ReplyDeleteThe Light Before Day by Suzanne Woods Fisher, Oct. This has been a very good series. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with Suzanne Woods Fisher whether she's writing Amish or Quaker!
DeleteIt doesn't seem like there are that many Amish books coming out this time round. Must do my own checking by fave authors. Good luck, CC!
Yay for Amish day :-) Here's one to go with the other books in the series on my shelf:
ReplyDelete1. Amish Christmas Secrets by Debbie Giusti (October)
Because you recommended her a while back and it sounds like a great story:
ReplyDelete2. The Amish Midwife's Secret by Rachel J. Good (November)
And one fun sounding one :-)
ReplyDelete3. Kappy King and the Pie Kaper by Amy Lillard (December)
Plus I have a copy of Kappy King and the Puppy Kaper :-)
teamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
Sqqqueeeecccchhhhh! (that's a squeal of screeching proportion!) I LOVE Rachel J. Good and had no idea that her next book is coming out so soon. I'm totally jazzed! And I'm glad you reminded me of Kappy King -- I meant to get the Puppy Kaper because -- hellooo -- puppy in the title and I love a cozy msytery. And now there's a second book coming out as well. Woot! Good luck, Trixi!
DeleteI thought you might like that one Kav! It's actually the second one in the Love and Promises series, the first being The Amish Teacher's Gift. As for the Kappy King one, there's the Pickle Kaper one in between these (June 2018). In case you haven't read these or knew about them. :-)
DeleteRats, I'm soon to be three Kappy King books behind? Gah!!!!!!!
DeleteDon't feel bad, even though I have the one book, I haven't read it yet. So I'll be behind as well!

DeleteAmish Reader's Choice would not be complete without a Shelley Shepard Gray story!
ReplyDelete1.) His Promise by Shelley Shepard Gray
I'm just kind of bummed that they switched from softcover to mass market paperback on this last(?) book of the series. Why do they do that? It messes up my bookshelf continuity!! Lol.

And lastly,
ReplyDelete3.) An Amish Wife for Christmas by Patricia Davids

Yikes -- I didn't realize that about the mass market paperback edition of His Promise! I shelve those ones at the very end of the very last shelf and I hate breaking up a series but I can't stand the break in precision on my shelves. lol Good luck, Terrill!
DeleteI'm glad I'm not the only neurotic one. Bwahaha!!

Delete1) The Light Before Day - Fisher
ReplyDeleteI don’t read much Amish/Quaker fiction butI read the first in the series and really enjoyed it!
pattymh2000(at)yahoo(dot)com
I think it's an easier introduction when you read Amish historicals because their life style isn't really all that different from everyone else -- just that they keep themselves separate really but it seems to be easier for non-Amish fans to relate to Historical Amish characters. Good luck, Patty!
Delete1} I just found, and being a Christmas story lover, perfectly timed for an October release...
ReplyDeleteA Horse for Elsie by Linda Byler
Not elegible for this giveaway, but to note - another due end of Sept is The Amish Christmas Letters [with an adorable cover!] Patricia Davids and Sarah Price
ReplyDeleteSqqqquuueeeaaalllll! I love Christmas too and when it's mixed with Amish I might just fall into a tailspinning swoon! Love both of these suggestions even if the second one doesn't fit this giveaway -- but thanks for bring it to our attention. on my wanna have it now list! Good luck, FHC!
