Sharp and pithy, this sweet novella is packed with Basham's trademark sass and wit. And all the scrumptious descriptions put my senses on high alert -- from Nora's Appalachian hometown setting to Regency England. Be still my heart! I want to live in either fictional world. And then there's the way this author sets up a comedic scene! She doesn't miss a beat. From outrageous to sweetly tender to toe-curling sizzle all in a flash. Sheer brilliance.
