PLAIN REFUGE
On the run from hired gunmen, can she find safety in Amish country?
After overhearing an illegal weapons deal, Sophie Larson knows two things: her uncle's a dangerous criminal...and he wants her dead. Now undercover cop Aide Forster has no choice but to blow his cover and protect Sophie by hiding her and her deaf sister in Amish country. But with a mole in the police force, danger isn't far behind.
An Amish Country Justice Novel
My Review;
Intense suspense with a side order of Amish.
Plain Refuge starts out with a gripping, hair-raiser of an opening scene and keeps up a steady pace of danger and intrigue right to the very end. Wooossshhhh! That's me finally letting out my very last pent-up breath. Lynn has a great sense for drawing out suspenseful tension while merging in a poignant love story. I was on the edge of my seat over both the whole read!
For fans of Amish fiction -- just know that the Amish connection is very light and doesn't come into play until about the half way mark. That in no way marred my enjoyment of this romantic suspense but I just thought I'd give a heads up to to any readers expecting more Amish-centric fiction. And on the flip side, if you aren't an Amish fiction fan, this might just be the perfect book to ease yourself into trying the genre. :-)
