Their Unbreakable Bond

GIVEAWAY

KASTNER, DEB
THEIR UNBREAKABLE BOND

His life has skidded off the tracks...Can she help him start over?

Training avalanche rescue dogs with his best friend's sister, Felicity Winslow, was never in Stone Keller's plans. But after a reckless motorcycle accident ends his rodeo career, he has nowhere to go but home to Colorado. Working with the dogs -- and Felicity -- could be exactly what he needs to put the pieces of his life back together.

A K-9 Companions Tale

My Review:

First book in what I believe is going to be a new multi-authored K-9 companion themed series, though the setting and characters make this also a continuation of Kastner's Rocky Mountain Family series too. Which is kinda weird, but I'm rolling with it 'cause I love the Winslow family and their Christmas tree farm / dog training business. Six siblings to work and relax with...including two protective older brothers who treat their youngest sister like she's still in grade school. :-) Love the family dynamics and how spunky Felicity fights to be recognized as the capable adult she truly is.

And then her girlhood crush winds up working with her...cue all the grins and swoons 'cause Stone is trying so hard not to notice that his best friend's little sister is a woman now while Felicity is trying just as hard to fight an inconvenient resurgence of puppy love. Sizzles and sparks and hijinks galore. Plus the kind of devoted service dogs I love to read about. In this case it's dynamic avalanche rescue dogs Tugger and Dandy who aren't above giving out a little comfort therapy after a disaster too.

Their Unbreakable Bond is all kinds of wintry goodness and a perfect way to wile away a chilly afternoon...maybe with your own fur baby cuddled up close by.

  1. Kav, I thought it was "kinda weird", too that she did that. However, I really enjoyed the book and hope to read all of the K9 companion series.

    1. I'm wondering if the companion dog aspect of Deb Kastner's Colorado Family proved to be so popular that they decided to use the idea for a multi-authored series? Just not using her characters, of course, but the K-9 angle. I've heard there's to me one companion dog story a month for the entire year!

    3. Woohoo - what a great line up of authors. I'm so excited. Thanks for being the cub reporter to Tracey's intrepid! Bwahahaha!

    4. The K9 books are so popular they will keep them going as long as the sell, so that's probably forever :)
So, I can add to this list now that more books are showing on the HQ site:
Book 6: Guarding His Secret Jill Kemerer June
Book 7: An Unlikely Assignment Toni Shiloh Jul
Book 8: The Cowboy's Journey Home Aug
      Linda Goodnight
Last year there was the K-9 Search + Rescue series in Jan, Feb and March then they stopped
and picked back up again this year:
Jan Search and Defend Heather Woodhaven
Feb Following the Trail Lynette Eason
March Dangerous Mountain Rescue Christy Barritt

THEN, lol, Terri Reed starts the new Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit with Detection Detail. That series already has the six books in that series listed on amazon if you want to check that out. This might all be more than anyone wants to know, lol, but I have to keep my intrepid report status in good standing. No need to enter me today, Jackie is forwarding hers, we trade back and forth, book pen pals :)

    5. oooh, I like that 'book pen pals'! This is a great line up and that K-9 Search and Rescue series is the one that's on audible. I have Lynette's on preorder and need to do that with the March one too -- especially since Christy Barritt is one of the authors I'm supposed to be catching up with...oy. Okay I have a VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION for our intrepid reporter: I've heard that new LI Historicals are being published but I can't find them anywhere. Is that just a rumour? Or have I become completely inept at research?

    6. Yes they are publishing historical books again, but they are limited release like the Cold Case, Mountain Rescue and Trade size Novels. Love Inspired has their own web page and that's where you'll find the titles. They've published 6 historical books already and have 6 more for this year. Here's the link for the historical books:
      https://www.loveinspired.com/shop/brand/inspirational-historical-collection.html?bt=pb&rg=previousRelease&rg=comingSoon&pg=1&pz=12&ord=podate%20ASC%2Ctitle_copy%20asc&vm=grid
You ca see the titles here but not buy them here. I don't know why HQ is doing it this way, makes it hard for readers to find them. One yu get the titles you can enter the titles and author on the regular HQ site and they will come up, but you won't find them by category that way. So strange! but I found it, lol. You can also see the other special release books by clicking on the drop down "our books" but you'll once again have to copy the titles that interest you and then go to HQ site to order.Hope that makes sense. If the link doesn't copy and paste let me know and I'll get all the titles for you :)

This is the link for the Love Inspired page, then you can use the "our books" drop down for each group, A little shorter than the historical link :)

    8. One more thing about these special release books, you can either go back to HQ to order, or when you click on each book there are all the alternative sites to HQ listed on the right where readers can buy them. Why they are promoting other sites is beyond me, but it is what it is. If you want your HQ points you just purchase there and get you points.

    9. You are a gem among intrepid reporters, Tracey! I think I need to give you a raise. :-) That is beyond convoluted! Why would they make it so difficult to buy their books? There's some familiar names in that line up plus some new-to-me authors as well! I'm just plain gobsmacked! These poor authors -- must make it interesting to do book promotions. Gah. Thanks, Tracey! You are the bestest!

    10. Convoluted is the exact right word for it. There's no reason for an information site only. They could have easily added the limited release books to the regular Harlequin site and saved us all a lot of headaches!
I'll take my raise in books, lol. You have blessed me with so many books over the years, anytime I can forward a bit of info it's my pleasure :)

  8. I'm embarrassed to day that as long as I have been reviewing books, I can't believe I've never read anything by Deb Kastner! Sounds like I need to look for these Colorado Family books. I know some people don't think it's worth reading LI books but I love them!!
    Thanks Kav for the giveaway!
