IMPORTANT EDIT: Due to an ongoing problem with issues some people are having with posting comments on blogger, I'm opening up all the Reader's Choice Week giveaways to email entries as well, however, if you can post in the comments please do It's so much more fun for everyone to see what other readers are looking forward to in new releases. Plus we all need the info so that we can add titles to our TBR lists!!! Oh -- and please put in your subject line: the genre, so today would be Historical Fiction, and then in the body of the email put in all three of your choices.
Eeeepppp! Let's get started on compiling those reading lists! (Santa's going to want an early heads up!)
Reader's Choice Giveaway
Fall Into Books Edition
So, here's how this thing works: You recommend CHRISTIAN FICTION titles with release dates in October, November or December 2022 (up to three suggestions per genre day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.
IT'S HISTORICAL ROMANCE / FICTION
GIVEAWAY DAY!
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Historical Romance / Fiction genre you would like to win.
Historical Romance / Fiction -- a full length story or novella or collection of novellas set in any time period before 1980. May cross genres such as YA, Suspense, Amish etc and may include dual timelines.
How does it work?
Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section and if you win, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!
Publication dates must be
OCT, NOV, OR DEC 2022
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to three suggestions
per genre day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier to tally)
Email entries permissible
if you can't post a comment
entrants must submit their own selections
(no piggyback on someone else's log in)
Open to International Readers
(I'm all about spreading the good news
about Christian Fiction far and wide)
It's helpful to include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments per day. If you choose not to include your email, then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.
Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday October 1 2022
Happy Sunday, Kav! Can't believe it's time already for another RCW! Can't come at a better time for me since I have to undergo testing this week. After a yearly mammogram & 2 neurological MRIs, I promise book talk will be the best part of my week!

Clearing off my fainting couch now! (Note to self: fainting couch is not to be considered a bookshelf.) Beneath His Silence looks to be a debut novel as well! Eeeepppppp!!! I'm loving these Gothic vibes, Diana.
DeletePraying that your medical appts are as stress free as possible! Hugs. Good luck!
Hannah Linder designed Rita Gerlach's book cover for Wait Until Morning! It's beautiful, but I had no idea she had a book coming out. Gothic vibes! Yes!!
DeleteThank you! I'll be fine if they let me listen to a book for an hr in the MRI machine! Bwahahahaha

The Hidden Prince by Tessa Afshar 11/8
ReplyDeleteI love her biblical fiction and have read them all.
Excited for this one too!
Another Jody Hedlund book, third book in her Waters of Time series
ReplyDeleteStay with Me 12/6
I feel like we're off to a great start here -- some fantastic books coming out. I had totally forgotten about Ivy and then I saw the cover and remembered that last scene in the previous book and now I'm jazzed.
DeleteBiblical fiction is out of my comfort zone but maybe I need to add this one to my TBR and give it a chance. Good luck, Tracey!
I held off on biblical fiction for the longest time thinking it would somehow mess with the scriptures as I knew them. But that's not the case at all, it's more about fiction books being set in certain times and how they align with the Bible and people of those times. If you ever try Tessa's books, I just know you'll be hooked :)
DeleteKav, you ought to try out Connilyn Cossette’s Cities of Refuge series. They’re excellent and I guarantee you’ll be hooked!😉
DeleteNow that you mention her, I actually read Connilyn Cossette's first series and did like it. I think because the biblical characters play a side role and we follow fictional characters. I think part of my problem with biblical fiction is reading a book that I know the end of...like if it is about Samson or Esther etc. Just won't keep my attention because I already know the ending. lol
DeleteI’m on your side with that. I have read a few that were about major biblical characters and then others about minor or fictional characters and I do tend to enjoy the ones about fictional characters (or minor/only-names-mentioned ones) much more. Probably why I love Ms. Cossette’s books so well! (If you read her Out From Egypt trilogy, by the way, her Cities of Refuge series is actually about the friend of the main character from that one and her family😉) Another one I read recently and loved so much that I lent it to my mom to read as soon as I finished it, was Angela Hunt’s The Apostle’s Sister, which is about Paul’s sister. It was sooo good and I’m looking to get more books by her because I enjoyed that one so much!😅
DeleteSo, Elly, you might have convinced me to try Angela Hunt's The Apostle's Sister. That does sound very interesting. Wasn't even on my radar, but then I think she tends to write fictional accounts of biblical people so maybe I haven't been paying attention. lol Thanks for the tip. Stay tuned to see how I feel about it. :-)
DeleteGood luck, Katie!

DeleteOthers to consider for Historical:
ReplyDeleteThe Secret Society of Salzburg by Renee Ryan
Passages of Hope by Terri J. Haynes ( doors to the past from Barbour)
On my Honor by Patti Smith Hall( heroines of WWII by Barbour)
When We Had Wings by Susan Meissner and two other authors. Don’t know if this is CF. But some other books aren’t labeled as such by Amazon and I know they are! Very confusing.
Thanks for these extra titles, Paual! They all look really good. I don't think Susan Meissner's book is Christian fiction though. Not a Christian publish and I think she's been writing for the general market for awhile.

Pam, I can't find your second choice -- A Return to Hawthorne House : A Novella Collection. I've tried Amazon, GR, the author's web page and a google search.
