My Review:

I have no idea how I missed this series but you can bet I'll be backtracking and reading the first two books! I love these Langford brothers and I need to catch up on Jess and Devin and how they came about their happily ever afters. It looks to be a whole series of second chance love stories. Eeep!

So, aside from crushing over the second chance romance angle, I might have fallen hard for all the adorable rescue pets Sara has accumulated...including the quirky parrot with a penchant for rapping out Hamilton lyrics every waking hour. Snicker. Love Sara's heart for needy animals and that it's not just talk, but lots of action. And Trent doesn't bat an eye when the need arises. That right there makes him hit the top ten on my swoonworthy heroes list. :-)

A slow-build romance accompanied by a lot of soul searching paired with oodles of animals makes for a great contemporary romance. And bonus for Rocky Mountain Ranch fans --  previous series heroes and heroines get a good bit of page time in this one.

    I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I simply adored this book when I first laid eyes on that romantical cover! I can't pinpoint what draws me to it, but it's one of the sweetest ones out there.

    Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but I'd rather have a whole passel of pets in the story over children. Their antics and personalities endear me more than human ones. Their unconditional love & support lend a heartwarming angle.

    And a WHOLE series of second chance love? You and I are soul mates when it comes to stories like this 😊💖

      I totally agree with you about the cover and the pets vs kids! I can tell you what drew me to this story --- the two dogs on the cover -- one being a border collie! Eeep! I saw this cover on the LI Facebook group and literally went straight to the Harlequin site to order it. :-) Good luck, Trixi!

    I've read the entire series, and it was awesome....hope you get to read them all, Kav. This was also the best Christmasy book I read!
