Reader's Choice Giveaway!
Summer Edition!!
So here's how this things works: You recommend CHRISTIAN FICTION titles with release dates in July, August or September 2021 (up to three suggestions per genre day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.
PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week :-(
It's CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE / FICTION
GIVEAWAY DAY
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Contemporary Romance / Fiction genre you would like to win.
Contemporary Romance / Fiction -- a full length story or novella or collection of novellas set in any time period 1980 onward. May cross genres such as YA, suspense, Amish etc and may include dual timelines.
How does it work?
Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!
Publications dates must be
July, August or September 2021
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions
per genre day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track due to
# of responses)
entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's login)
Open to International Readers
(I'm all about spreading the good news
about Christian Fiction far and wide)
It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email
then it's up to you to contact me if you're a winner.
Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday June 26 2021
Happy Monday everyone!
ReplyDelete1) The Heart of Splendid Lake by Amy Clipston (Sept 14)
1st of all I love, love, love this cover & secondly I don't think I've ever read a book by Amy Clipston that's non-Amish. So I'm pretty excited about this one!
1) Beyond the Tides by Liz Johnson (Aug 3)
ReplyDeleteYes! Another series by Liz Johnson set on beautiful Prince Edward Island!
Oops, that was #2 choice. Sorry!
DeleteDiane, I just finished an ARC of Beyond the Tides and it's terrific! That first kiss of his is in the swoony category!
DeleteThanks for the glowing recommendation, Tracey! Loved her previous PEI series! Hmmm, I may need to borrow Kav's fainting couch. π
DeleteYou will surely need it and the smelling salts too, lol! This is going to be a fantastic series!
DeleteYou've definitely got me drooling this morning, Tracey! Tissues now, smelling salts later & fainting couch later. π
DeleteWait a minute, wait a minute, wait minute! There will be no lending or borrowing of fainting couches -- especially if you intend to drool on it! :-) I mean, what would I do while it was being shipped down and drooled on by you? I'd have to read all non-romancy books until you could ship it back to me. Humph. You're in the south, Diana, surely there a plethora of fainting couches for you to choose from! I suggest a furniture investment before the August release date. Snicker.
DeleteLol Kav! πππ€£ I wish I had a fainting couch emoji, this one's not exactly rightπ but will do, and a person can swoon on a bed in emergencies too π π
DeleteYes they can. It's hot and humid here today so I was kinda lounging on my bed in order to dust the shelves way down low and then I came upon a favourite book from ten years ago and I couldn't resist reading a bit...a lot...and oh la la, swoon city and then some. I'm not sure I've recovered. I might have to go back and swoon some more. :-)
DeleteWell, if it's a leather fainting couch you can easily wipe the drool off. LOL! Never mind. I have a great swooning recliner here that will do the job just as well! π
DeleteThat's the spirit -- make do with what you've got and worst case scenario, read while prone on the floor. :-)

Delete1) Provenance by Carla Laureano 8/3
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since we've heard from Carla so I'm looking forward to this one
2) The Gathering Table by Kathryn Springer 9/28
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had a book from Kathryn in a while either but I've read almost all her books and this looks to be a good women's fiction release!
Tracey, I have never read a single book by Kathryn Springer so this one's going on my wishlist. Sounds very intriguing!
DeleteI think Carla Laureano has been busy writing speculative fiction so that's why there's been a contemporary lull. Looking forward to this one too and I like the Colorado setting.
DeleteAnd woohoo -- another Love Inspired Trade book to anticipate. Good luck, Tracey!
I must be tired from celebrating Father's Day! All of these typos this morning!
ReplyDelete3) Undercurrents of Secrets Rachel Scott McDaniel (Sept 1)
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
First, I'm with you on your Amy Clipston choice. I've been disappointed a couple of times when an Amish author has gone straight contemporary and included questionable content. Mild, by world standards, but still not what I would include in Christian fiction. Though they might be writing those books for mainstream. Anyway, anxious to see what Amy Clipston does with this new genre.
DeleteI'm super excited about Liz Johnson's new series set in PEI! Love that cover -- in fact, I think there have been more Contemp covers that have wowed me than Historical ones. I think it's all the bright, cheery colours. Good luck, Diana! Wishing you happy fainting couch hunting. :-)
Am hoping it'll be along the lines of Suzanne Woods Fisher's non-Amish contemporary series. Will see...
DeleteI agree with you about the pretty, cheerful colors, but hubby won't agree with you about couch hunting. Ha!
I was thinking of Suzanne's island series too. Hopefully that's the case with Amy Clipston.

This looks really good -- I like that there are only three (big name!) authors in the collection. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when there are upteen novellas in one book. Good luck, Lori!

ReplyDeleteThe Nature of Small Birds by Susie Finkbeiner, 7/21, which has a triple timeline. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThe Nature of Small Birds sounds amazing and I've never taken a trip to Vietnam in my fictional travels. Really excited about this find, CC. Good luck!
Delete3)The Secret Keepers of Old Depot Grocery by Amanda Cox releasing 9/7 dual timelines are turning out to be some of my favorites~ I've only read the first chapter of her debut but I do like her writing style
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway fun Kav!
tracey14567 at gmail dot com
That title is a mouthful! I'd love to know the inside scoop on how it came to be. I did read Amanda's debut and her writing style is so vibrant. Paints pictures with her words and creates a story spell around the reader. Good luck, Tracey!
DeleteUugghhh soooo many choices for this category! How will I ever decide!lol
ReplyDeleteI have to cheer on my fellow Iowa girl, Melissa Tagg. So her upcoming book Autumn by the Sea is my first choice! According to her recent fb post, the release date is Sept 28th. Yay!

You have an insider's scoop, I see. Can't find Melissa's book online yet but I love the title. And you found a new one by Tari Faris. There are a lot of contemporary novels coming out this time round, aren't there? So many to choose from. Good luck, Lea!
DeleteI can't help but obsess over when my favorite authors will release new books.lol here is the link to Melissa's post (hopefully it works) https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=207558314518932&id=100057942945722&fs=0&focus_composer=0
DeleteI only found two for the contemporary category that sound interesting to me:
ReplyDelete1. The Walnut Creek Wish by Wanda Brunstetter~ August
2. Beyond the Tides by Liz Johnson~ August
ReplyDeleteteamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
I've been eyeballing this title and I just now saw someone else list this but wasn't sure what category to put it in....so here's my third choice:
ReplyDelete3. The Nature of Small Birds by Susie Finkbeiner ~July
teamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
That Wanda Brunstetter one doesn't look completely Amish -- interesting how our tried-and-true Amish Fiction authors are branching out into other genres.
DeleteHah -- with three timelines The Nature of Small Birds is bound to fit into nearly every category! Good luck, Trixi!
