AN IRISH HEART
An emerald land...and unknown double
Successful advertising manager, Greta Conner travels to Ireland to fulfill a last wish from her mother. After arriving in Ireland, she is drawn to a colourful village named Angel's Hollow. When a dark-haired stranger approaches and calls her by another name, Greta is intrigued to discover she's the image of Aedan O'Rourke's ex-girlfriend. Does she have a close relative unknown to her?
Aedan can't understand his misfortune. Along with near bankruptcy in his future, his ex is trying to fool him by claiming she's Greta Conner from the states. Is it some sort of plot to further ruin his reputation? Adding to his angst, his brother Reece, insists on dating Greta if Aedan will not. All will certainly be lost if Reece falls into her plans.
Angel's Hollow becomes like home for Greta, and there's no one her heart loves more than Aedan. But will an unknown town threatens all she's longed for?
My Review:
Cute, zippy novella length story set in my favourite place -- Ireland!!! County Cork to be precise.
Greta hopes to quell her restless spirit by fulfilling her mother's dying wish to visit the land of her ancestors. But rather than finding respite, she becomes embroiled in some O'Rourke family drama.
Aedan can't believe Greta isn't his ex come to invoke more havoc because Greta is a dead ringer for the woman who cruelly betrayed him. Talk about an angsty meet-cute! With Aedan all bristling righteous indignation and Greta understandably discombobulated by his reaction -- and disbelief that she's an American tourist. What follows is a tangled maze of doubt and frustration as these two circle around each other. An enemies to lovers trope with a bit of mistaken identity mixed in besides.
A fun, quick read that fed my need for an armchair traveling adventure.
