My Review:
This is the second book in the multi-authored Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit continuity series. There's an over-arcing suspense thread that will slowly progress through each book but each novel also has its own suspense plot...and romance (happy sigh -- I'm all about the romance!)
Eeeeppp -- Ready to Protect is an amazing edge--of-your-seat read made all the more special because of noble K-9 Shadow. I do so love a great canine side character and this doberman knows how to work a scene. :-) There's tons of action and danger punctuated with some really hilarious scenes -- especially the grand finale. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard during a danger fraught take-down before.
I listened to the audible edition narrated by Courtney Patterson and loved every minute! So thrilled that some of the Love Inspired Suspense books are being offered in audio format! I have book three on preorder and I can't wait for release day. Just under a week and counting!

LOVE the K-9 series! Just know I'm going to love READY TO PROTECT and can't wait for the opportunity to dive in reading it. Dobermans usually get a bum rap, but I know from personal experience while working animal control that they can be true and loyal companions. The biggest one I ever saw was the biggest teddy bear.

DeleteDobbies are one of my favorite breeds of dogs! When I was little (5-8?), two of my aunts raised dobbies. In fact, I have a picture of my cousin & I holding a pup. based on that alone, I'd read this book!
