COLD CASE KILLER PROFILE
The desert can hide many secrets...including murder.
Searching for the perfect morning landscape to paint leads forensic artist Brigitte Linsey straight to a dead body -- and a narrow escape from the Sunrise Serial Killer still on the scene. Now she's become unfinished business and new prey. Working with FBI special agent Duke Jericho could mean putting the murderer away for good. However, it's just a matter of time before this diabolically clever predator turns his hunters into the hunted...
A Quantico Profilers Thriller
My Review:
Whoa! Just...gulp..edge-of-your-seat and (sometimes) hide-under-the-blankets stuff! There's an extra zing of tense that comes with this story. A serial killer stalking Brigitte is 'eek' enough, but then Patch throws in some gasp-out-loud twists and I couldn't do anything but speed-read through to the end, holding my breath all the while.
I like the profiling aspect to this series (this is the second Quantico Profilers Thriller book but can easily be read as a standalone.) It adds an extra 'oomph' to an already thrilling read. 'Thriller' is in the series title for a reason! Packed with suspense and action and enough heart-in-throat moments to create a super-charged read.
And the suspense is not to be outdone by the romance! Wary and rocky though it may be. I do so love when a hero or heroine (or both) are blindsided by love when they least expect it.
May there be many more Quantico Profilers Thriller books to come!!!

DeleteOoh yes! I grew up in the AZ desert, but thankfully no dead bodies or serial killers around. That I knew of! 😳 I can't read those little LIS books so don't enter me. I'll wait til ebook comes out. 😄
ReplyDeleteReally?! The things we learn about people. How did you cope with the heat? And the snakes. Gulp. And the creepy crawlies....you are so brave! Good luck, Diana!
DeleteI really am brave. I should be a book heroine. 😉 Actually it feels hotter in SC bc of the humidity. AZ has a dry heat. Temps have been in the hi 90s & low 100s here (we skipped Spring! 😠) & I barely go outside. I've seen a gazillion snakes here & only 1 rattlesnake in AZ. Lotsa lizards & toads both places & never saw a scorpion there, even tho our home was surrounded by desert. But I hated the cactus & dirt & love the pine trees, green grass, & flowers of SC. Hubby talks of going back to Tucson for vacay bc it's where we met. No flowers? Dirt? No thanks!
DeleteI still have yet to step my toes back into suspense after almost two years. BUT, Jessica Patch is an awesome writer so I'd break that cycle for one of her books 😊
