GIVEAWAY |
Help me plan my summer reading by recommending new releases (publication date, June, July or August 2017) and you have a chance to win one of the books you recommend.
Read all the details before entering:
IT'S HISTORICAL ROMANCE GIVEAWAY DAY!!!!!
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title of the book(s) in the Historical Romance genre you'd like to win.
HISTORICAL ROMANCE: A story where the romance plays a major role and is set in any time period before the end of 1970s
How does it work?
Easy-peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win the draw, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!!!!!!
Publication dates must be
June, July or August 2017
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer three suggestions per day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to the
# of responses)
Open to International readers
(I'm all about spreading the Good News about Christian Fiction all over the globe!!!!!!)
Please remember to include your email, using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers. Draw will be held and winner announced on
Sunday May 21 2017.
Oh my favorite! Readers choice week :-) But the downside is it means you have whittled your TBR pile down :-( That's just no good!
ReplyDeleteSo many good books coming out, it's really hard to choose!
#1 Heart on the Line by Karen Witemeyer (love her wit and humor)
#2: To Wager Her Heart by Tamera Alexander (August)
ReplyDelete#3: The Promise of Dawn by Lauraine Snelling (Under Northern Skies #1)
ReplyDeleteteamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
I know -- my poor TBR pile, I just have two historicals (one of which I`m about to start today), two Amish and one lonely LIS left to read. I'm reviewed ahead for a week though so that's a nice cushion. But still, it is time to explore options for the summer and these look fantastic. Good luck, Trixi.
DeleteMy #1 pick, "Too Deep for Words" by Andrea Boesshar.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy W.
countrybear52 AT yahoo DOT com
#2 My choice would be "For Love and Honor" by Jody Hedlund.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy W.

And my 3rd choice, #1 "Heart on the Line" by Karen Witemeyer.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy W.
countrybear52 AT yahoo DOT com
Cindy, your first two picks were published in April and May so they don't qualify for this draw. This whole week we are looking for books that are published in June, July or August. So you can choose two more titles if you'd like. Good luck!
DeleteI love helping you plan your summer reading, lol, and my own too! I have 4 historicals on my summer list, but I love seeing what other readers have found.
ReplyDeleteThe first one coming out in June is Heart on the Line-the second in the Ladies of Harper's Station series.
Thanks for the fun readers choice week!
tracey14567 at gmail dot com
My second book out in August is The Promise of Breeze Hill by Pam Hillman. This book looks so interesting with the Natchez Trace of Miss. as a setting.
ReplyDeletetracey14567 at gmail dot com
My third book would be To Wager Her Heart, book three in the Belle Meade Plantation series. Love Tammy Alexander's writing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your giveaways Kav, you provide so much fun and reading enjoyment for readers!

These all look good!!!!!! Love the cover on High as the Heavens and Kate Breslin is an awesome storyteller. Good luck, Caryl.
DeleteOh and just a recommendation, I didn't list this book for myself because I read an ARC, but The Writing Desk by Rachel Hauck is the best book I've read so far this yr. It has a dual timeline with the Gilded Age and modern day stories overlapping. My favorite Hauck book ever, I think you'll love it too.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh -- thanks for recommending that. I love dual timeline stories and this one look fascinating. High praise from you has me putting it high up on my list. Woot! Thanks, Tracey.

ReplyDeleteI have gone to Goodreads and the different main publisher websites....did see some more really good ones coming out in Sept. Thanks for the fun exercise. dixiedobie at yahoo dot com
Isn't if hard to corral books coming out each month? There's gotta be an easier way. It's like following a rabbit trail and once I get on Amazon and see one I like and then see the recommended reads and I click on them I end up with books coming out months away which is fine except I'm looking for new stuff sooner. LOL It's so crazy -- and I'm a librarian so you'd think I'd have figure it out by now. Great choices all -- Good luck, CC.

DeleteIt does doesn't it! :D Thank you!!!
DeleteBefore We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate - Hoping this qualifies as a historical romance, but if not, let me know what category it goes in so I can recommend it then.
ReplyDeleteamylsmith AT bledsoe DOT net
I don't think this one qualifies as historical fiction -- sounds awesome though. It's considered Women's Fiction so you could enter it on Friday -- Christian Fiction Day -- which covers any kind of Christian Fiction.
DeleteThe Promise of Breeze Hill by Pam Hillman
ReplyDeletecolorvibrant at gmail dot com
So Pure a Heart by Amber Lynn Perry (June)
ReplyDeletecolorvibrant at gmail dot com
I can't find So Pure a Heart, Heidi. It's not on Amazon and the author's website only says it's coming soon -- no date. Do you want to pick something else? Or risk it fitting into the timeline?
DeleteI'm on her influencer team so I know it's coming out in June. She publishes indie so it doesn't go up on the retailer sites as soon as the others. I'll risk it!
DeleteOkey dokey -- it's in the draw. Good luck, Heidi!
DeleteThe Writing Desk by Rachel Hauck. I just love her books!!

Deletepmkellogg56[at]gmail[dot]com
Heart on the Line by Karen Witemeyer - another of my favorite authors.
ReplyDeleteamylsmith AT bledsoe DOT net
Where do you go to find books releasing?? I can't seems to find the right books for the right category. How do you look that up? and Where?
ReplyDeleteI love Karen Witemeyer!!!! Hunting down new releases is hard. (harder than it should be!!)
DeleteI go to publisher's websites and look at their coming soon lists. Some websites are more user friendly than others. You can do a general search on Amazon -- like Christian Historical Fiction -- but it gets trickier to narrow down the publication date. You have to sort by preferences (upper right hand button) and select publication date but then you have to scroll through the list until you reach the months you want. A bit time consuming. I would think you could do the same on Christian Books -- in fact they have a coming soon section once you pick Fiction and you can scroll through those titles -- they are labeled by month. That's probably the easiest way to find some titles.
Good luck, Aimee!

DeleteCBD.com (Christian Book Distributor) is the best resource I have found and much more user friendly for finding upcoming fiction titles. If I doubt anything, I double check on Amazon to be sure. :-)

DeleteOkay, I know I'm kinda putting my two-cents in a day late and dollar short, but between a busy week and time spent scouring the web for the best upcoming releases, I've not had the time to put out my comments...a problem which is about to be rectified😉
ReplyDeleteSince there are no Melanie Dickerson's releasing during the allotted time-period (the newest releasing in May and September, go figure 😒 lol) I'll go with the following choices:

DeleteI've had such a crazy week. I'm behind in everything! I flew back from Mexico on Monday after visiting my daughter who is there with YWAM, but only after missing my flight! So stressful. I then come home to what my husband has told me is a dead desktop. You don't realize how dependent you are on something until it's gone. :( I could go on, but I know my wek wasn't as crazy as many others. On to my historical choices. Better late than never. :)
