GIVEAWAY |
Help me plan my summer reading by recommending new releases published in June, July or August 2017 and you could win one of the books you recommend. Here's how:
IT'S ROMANTIC SUSPENSE/MYSTERY
GIVEAWAY DAY!!!!!
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title of the book(s) in the Romantic Suspense/Mystery genre you'd like to win.
ROMANTIC SUSPENSE OR MYSTERY: A mystery is an important part of the plot. The heroine or hero (or both) are often in peril (more so in a suspense.) Can be set in a contemporary or historical setting.
How does it work?
Easy-peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win the draw, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!!!!!!
Publication dates must be
June, July or August 2017
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer three suggestions per day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to the
# of responses)
Open to International readers (I'm all about spreading the Good News about Christian Fiction all over the globe!!!!!!)
Please remember to include your email, using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers. Draw will be held and winner announced on
Sunday May 21 2017
I was ready for this one tonight, I did my research early! Just like with historical, there's MANY new suspense coming out. Very hard to narrow down :-)
ReplyDelete#1. Dark Deception (Defenders of Justice bk. 2) by Nancy Mehl~ June 2017
#2 Beneath Copper Falls (Rock Harbor bk. 2) by Colleen Coble
ReplyDeleteThis is one great read, Trixi!
DeleteDiana, I didn't even know Colleen had a new Rock Harbor series out! So to find out this was the second book coming out was a shocker! I'm usually up on my must-have suspense authors, lol!
DeleteHouse of Swans is a re-publish of an earlier Rock Harbor novel called Abomination. But Beneath Copper Falls is a brand new Rock Harbor novel. Loved it!
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteOh good to know! I will make note of that!
DeleteOops, Trixi...that's Haven of Swans. Sorry!
Delete#3 Chasing Secrets (Elite Guardians bk 4) by Lynette Eason~ August 2017
ReplyDeleteteamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
DeleteOh goodness, those are delectable!!!! I'm sooooo excited!!!! Great additions to my TBR list. Good luck, Trixi.
DeleteNot a pick, but I wanted to mention one more. Although it may be on someones pick yet :-)
ReplyDeleteThreads of Suspicion (Evie Blackwell Cold Case #2) by Dee Henderson.
With both Coble and Henderson,I didn't know they had new series out!! I'm so far behind on these two authors, these are being added to my TBR as we speak :-)
Hey Trixi, I have Dee's on hold at Library...always read her. Colleen is a sure read for me always. Always enjoy your suggestions.
DeleteMe too Jackie! Colleen & Dee were one of my first suspense authors (besides LIS) that I discovered. I've read all their older novels and I am thrilled to see some new material from thedm. Especially Dee, I haven't read a good Henderson suspense for a while, I need to catch up :-)
DeleteI read the first Evie Blackwell novel. Her novels are different from the early years but still good in my humble opinion. Thanks for the reminder that Book 2 is coming out. Woot!
DeleteWoo Hoo! My favorite genre! KAV, thank you for the chance!

Oohhhh -- I've never read a book by Carrie Stuart Park before. That one sounds quite angsty and intriguing. Good luck, Caryl.
DeleteKAV, Carrie Stuart Parks is a new author for me too. I have one of her books in my TBR.

ReplyDelete'Fatal Trust' by Todd M. Johnson – August 2017
ReplyDeletedandtdearing (at) roadrunner (dot) com
'Dark Deception' (Defenders of Justice #2) by Nancy Mehl
ReplyDeletedandtdearing (at) roadrunner (dot) com
The release date for 'Dark Deception' is June 2017
Delete'A Matter of Trust' (Montana Rescue #3) by Susan May Warren - July 2017
ReplyDeletedandtdearing (at) roadrunner (dot) com
First two are great -- I've never read anything by Todd M. Johnson before. But your last selection, A Matter of Trust -- isn't a suspense. It would fit in the contemporary romance category. So feel free to pick another title. Good lucik, Tammi.
DeleteNew choice:
Delete'Beneath Copper Falls' (Rock Harbor Series)– July 2017 by Colleen Coble
dandtdearing (at) roadrunner (dot) com
That's great -- thanks, Tammi. Good luck.
DeleteThe Legacy #3 by Michael Phillips
ReplyDeleteJuly 2017

Special Agent (LIS) by Valerie Hansen
ReplyDeleteJune 2017
jacsmi75 at gmail dot com
Beneath Copper Falls by Collen Coble
ReplyDeleteJuly 2017
jacsmi75 at gmail dot com
I just read Special Agent -- gotta love a good Boxer story. :-) And I'm looking forward to another visit to Rock Harbor! Alas, though, your first choice, The Legacy, isn't categorized as a suspense. There seems to be a dead body in the plot but the crime solving doesn't take precedence in the plot so it's just labeled as Historical Romance. So feel free to add another choice. Good luck, Jackie.

2. Beneath Copper Falls by Colleen Coble
ReplyDeleteJuly 10th 2017

DeleteHis Guilt by Shelly Shepard Gray
ReplyDeleteThis is Amish, but is in Shelly's new suspense series.
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
Oops, I think Melody and I were typing at the very same time. lol
DeleteI so love the mix of Amish and suspense!!!!! Good luck, Diana.
DeleteI like a good mystery/suspense, but so many that are coming out in recent years are scaring me, lol. I seem to like the ones that have security teams the best. So I'm sticking with the Love Inspired Suspense line until Oct. when Irene Hannon and Dani Pettrey's new suspense's come out.

How do you find LI books?!?!? :-(
DeleteJackie, I follow Jessica Patch because I read all her books and knew there was one coming in July. If I click on the book on amazon I know is coming out, there will be a list of other books scrolling on that page and I look through them.
DeleteThere is also an LIS page for new releases too.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/new-releases/digital-text/700133011/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsnr
If this is too much to copy, I'll email you the link like I have done before :)
DeleteJackie, if you go to the Harlequin site you can find all the Love Inspired books (all lines) that are out or coming out. It if you need to find which books are in a series, you can look those up as well. It's my go-to resource for LI!
DeleteArgh -- blogger is eating all my responses. Here we go again -- If you go to the Harlequin site, click on Books and select Category. You'll get a side box -- click on Inspirational Romance. Once you get on that page you'll see a little box with current month but you can change that to Release Date (newest to oldest) and then you'll get all the LI books scheduled through to January 2018!!!! Cool.

Samantha, your first too picks aren't suspense novels. They'd fit in the historical category. Feel free to choose two more titles.
DeleteBeneath Copper Falls is definitely one I'm looking forward too. Good luck.
Oh, sorry about that! I'll post two more picks. Thanks for letting me know :)
DeleteOver Maya Dead Body by Sandra Orchard! (July)
ReplyDeleteI have been loving the Serena Jones mysteries with all their art crimes, and I have to know if this is going to be the book where she finally makes a decision between her two wonderful men. Thanks for the giveaway!
rachaeldalquist AT yahoo DOT com
Sqqqqquuueeeallll!!! I'm right there with you. I know who I want her to be with...see if I get my wish. And I love the quirky humour, outrageous family and the art theft themes. Awesomesauce all around. Good luck, Rachael.
Deletelove your reviews lizardbrooks99 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth. In order to be eligible for the draw you need to suggest a suspense title being released in June, July or August. Lots of great books are coming out!
DeleteThe first one isn't romantic suspense -- it would fit in the contemporary romance or Christian Fiction days.
ReplyDeleteLove Dee Henderson. Good luck, Kate.
Oops -- Threads of Suspicion is a May release so it doesn't count either. So feel free to make other selections for these two.
ReplyDeleteA Matter of Trust by Susan May Warren
ReplyDeletecolorvibrant at gmail dot com
Over Maya Dead Body by Sandra Orchard
ReplyDeletecolorvibrant at gmail dot com
Chasing Secrets by Lynette Eason
ReplyDeletecolorvibrant at gmail dot com
Thanks Kav! :)
A Matter of Trust is not a suspense title. Yes, it has dangerous elements but that's through search and rescue and there are secrets but of a personal/ relationship type. The author labels this series as Contemporary Romantic Adventure. Think of it as the action coming from nature and the actual search and rescue as opposed to villains putting lives in danger.
DeleteI'm looking forward to your other two choices. Lots of wonderful suspense/mystery coming out soon. Good luck, Heidi.
Thanks, Kav, I will choose this one since one of above I chose did not qualify:
ReplyDelete#1 Deep Waters (The Security Specialists)
by Jessica Patch 7/1

DeleteSo, I'm going to put this book here instead of on the cont. romance list since it is also mystery/suspense and I had too many to choose from on the other. :)
ReplyDelete1.) A Matter of Trust by Susan May Warren

ReplyDelete2.) Dark Deception by Nancy Mehl

ReplyDelete3.) Over Maya Dead Body by Sandra Orchard

So -- you're not the only one to label A Matter of Trust as romantic suspense -- only it's not so it doesn't fit in this category. The author classifies it as Contemporary Romantic Adventure. The difference is that there isn't really a mystery to solve and the danger comes from nature and the search and rescue aspect and not from nefarious villains. :-) So feel free to pick another one. Good luck, Terrill.
DeleteYou know, Amazon had it listed under Mystery/suspense. I'm sure, leaning more towards suspense. But I don't mind picking a different one. Let me check.
