Her Secret Alaskan Family

GIVEAWAY
CALHOUNE, BELLE
HER SECRET ALASKAN FAMILY

Everyone remembers the kidnapped Alaskan baby...but they don't know she's returned home.

Sage Duncan is the only person in Owl Creek who knows her true identity: the missing Alaskan chocolate heiress. Now she's returned to Alaska to learn about the family she was stolen from -- without disclosing her identity. But keeping her deep secret from gorgeous town sheriff Hank Crawford is much harder than Sage thought...especially when she finds herself falling for him.

Home to Owl Creek

My Review:

Happy dancing in the snow over a new Alaskan series by Belle Calhoune! And what an introduction to Owl Creek! Once again, this author has created the kind of town you want to call home. A wee bit quirky and a whole lot of quaint and it has a chocolate factory! (Warning: reading this book may induce extreme chocolate cravings!) And it's full of interesting secondary characters (including a couple of bachelor types that need their own HEAs!)

Hank Crawford does a mighty fine job of being the series' first hero. Doting single dad with a protective streak that extends to all the girls in his family (mother, sister, daughter) and the whole town, for that matter. He's sworn off women after a particularly disastrous betrayal but then he meets Sage and...

Well, the happy sighs have to be put on hold because Sage is harboring a pretty big secret. The kind that will affect a lot of people if it gets out...and she's not sure she wants it to. She's come to Owl Creek to find answers to questions she didn't know she had until a few months ago. Yearning for some kind of closure means falling in love with the town sheriff,  who has a very good reason to distrust secretive women, is totally out of the equation. Until it happens.

Cue the anxiety riddled tummy flips and nervous-Nelly jitters because things get worse before they get better. If you like to revel in romantical angst in the midst of toe-curls and swoons, you've reached for the right book. Deliciously addictive from the very first page.

  3. Ohhh, this sounds good! Love your review & love the cover enough to take a chance on reading the paperback w/o dropping it. Wouldn't want to hurt Sage's back or poor little book's spine. These LI books are slippery little things (at least to me!)

  5. I was really excited to see the Belle Calhoune had more books coming out in the LI contemporary line. Fortunately, she released a couple of indie books in the meantime, but I really enjoyed her previous Alaskan series from harlequin.
