Never Let Go

GIVEAWAY
GODDARD, ELIZABETH
NEVER LET GO

As a forsensic genealogist, Willow Anderson is following in her late grandfather's footsteps in her quest for answers about a baby abducted from the hospital more than twenty years ago. The case may be cold, but things are about to heat up when someone makes an attempt on her life to keep her from discovering the truth.

Ex-FBI agent -- and Willow's ex-flame -- Austin McKade readily offers his help to protect the woman he never should have let get away. Together they'll follow where the clues lead them, even if it means Austin must face the past he's spent much of his life trying to forget. And even if it puts Willow's tender heart at risk.

In this fast-paced and emotional page-turner, bestselling author Elizabeth Goddard keeps the stakes high, the romantic tension sparking, and the outcome uncertain until the very end.

My Review:

I think my brain has whiplash. This plot doesn't have twists -- it has so many sharp turns that a reader might just need a seat-belt for her sleuthing armchair.

Great pacing between romance and investigative work and full out action. Love the forensic genealogist angle -- such an intriguing approach to a suspense. The mystery is layered so thickly it's a gnarly mess that was fun to pull apart and try to make sense of. Once it was all over, I actually had to sit there and rehash some of it. "Wait...what about...ohhhh!!!! I get it now." Took my poor addled brain a bit of time to unscramble. :-) Wickedly clever.

And I do so love a second chance romance! Willow and Austin's is fraught with heartbreak which makes victory all the sweeter...when it finally comes. They have chemistry right from the start -- it's almost like they were never apart at times but then reality comes crashing back and...oy...my heart hurt for them. Especially Austin who carries a heavy burden from his past.

This is the first book in Goddard's Uncommon Justice series and I'm thrilled to pieces because Austin isn't the only hero in the McKade clan. He has...eeeep!...two brothers which means there is more McKadeliciousness in my reading future. Always Look Twice is out now and Don't Keep Silent comes out in June.

  4. "NEVER LET GO" sounds like a hurricane, rollercoaster and romance of the ages all rolled into one. Just my kind of story. Love a book that you don't mind losing some sleep over - both while reading it and then afterwards replaying it in your head. Sounds fabulous and would love the opportunity to read it.

Thank you for the chance to win a copy!
