BUILDING HER AMISH DREAM
They can't change the past...but they can choose their future
Opening a new farm shop on Prince Edward Island with her little sister is Mattie Albrecht's chance at a fresh start. But avoiding her past becomes impossible when Benjamin Kuhrns -- her old secret crush -- offers to help with repairs. As they work together to renovate the shop, the new beginning they're searching for could be right in front of them...
An Amish of Prince Edward Island tale
My Review:
You know, when I read a news article several years ago about a group of Ontario Amish moving to Prince Edward Island to start a community, I was all kinds of fascinated. And I actually thought at the time, 'somebody needs to write a story about this,' but nobody did....until now!
Eeeeppppp!!!! Amish in Prince Edward Island!!!! I might have hyperventilated myself into an epic Anne-girl swoon when I read the back cover.
I really love how Brown has set things up for future stories in this first book. it's chock full of captivating characters and a real sense of the Island. And she doesn't hold back on the angst! Oodles of layers to wade through in both Mattie and Benjamin's back stories which made for a compulsive pager-turner of a read.
Now I'm stoked for the next book in the series...sure hope we don't have long to wait!

DeleteLove getting in on the first of series - especially one by this author. Love it when a book is great reading and then you can see possibilities for many more books to come from it. "BUILDING HER AMISH DREAM" is already on my TBR list and hoping to get the chance to read it. Love the cover too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win a copy. Have a great weekend! We thought spring was here but the tulip trees and jounquils in bloom have quite the shock today. It's snowing - about 2 inches and still falling.
