Readers Choice -- Historical Fiction

GIVEAWAY

IMPORTANT EDIT: Due to an ongoing problem with issues posting comments on blogger using iPhones or Macs, I'm opening up all the Reader's Choice Week giveaways to email entries as well. BUT PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you can post in the comments do, it's much less work for me and so much more fun for everyone to see what other readers are looking forward to in new releases. Plus we all need the info so that we can add titles to our TBR lists!!! (so just ignore the bit in the rules area about not being open to email entries) Oh -- and please put in your subject line: the genre, so today would be Historical Fiction, and then in the body of the email put in all three of your choices.

Eeeepppp! The snow might not be melting but the calendar says it's Spring and that means it's time for...

Reader's Choice Giveaway
Spring into Books Edition

So, here's how this thing works: You recommend CHRISTIAN FICTION titles with release dates in April, May or June 2022 (up to three suggestions per genre day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.

PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week. :-(

IT'S HISTORICAL ROMANCE / FICTION
GIVEAWAY DAY!

To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Historical Romance / Fiction genre you would like to win.

Historical Romance / Fiction -- a full length story or novella or collection of novellas set in any time period before 1980. May cross genres such as YA, Suspense, Amish etc and may include dual timelines.

How does it work?

Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

Publication dates must be
APRIL, MAY OR JUNE 2022
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to three suggestions
per genre day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of
due to # of responses)
entrants must submit their own selections
(no piggyback on someone else's log in)
Open to International Readers
(I'm all about spreading the good news
about Christian Fiction far and wide)

It's helpful to include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments per day. If you choose not to include your email, then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday April 2 2022

    1. Eeep to all three of your choices. Interesting that A Hundred Crickets Singing is dual timeline with both times having a historical setting. I don't think I've read anything like that before. Good luck, Kathleen!

    2. Hey, Kav. Count the Nights by Stars is also a dual-timeline with both timelines historical. Very interesting how the author tied them together!

    1. Squuueealllll -- I LOVE Robin Lee Hatcher and that cover is amazing. And I'm very intrigued by Gabrielle Meyer's novel -- another dual timeline in two historical settings. Is that becoming a thing? Another great cover too. Good luck, Kay!

    1. I've heard that The Souls of Lost Lake is spooooky. Might have to power through it in daylight hours. :-) And I'm behind in Carolyn's Regency series (and her hockey series) Ack! ust grab the first one before this second comes out. Can't get too far behind. Good luck, Diana!

    2. That's what I heard about Foxglove Manor. Too spooky & too ghosty. I don't do ghosts so I didn't read it. And then afterwards I noticed it made it on many favorite's list and got rave reviews! 🤔 I have a hard time with suspense that's too graphic. Some of my fave suspense authors are crossing the line with this imo!

      Delete
    3. I didn't find Foxglove too spooky -- definitely atmospheric and Gothic-y so we'll see how I feel about this one. Whoever reads it first will have to report back. :-)

      Delete
    4. Did you say Gothicy? That does it! I'm definitely reading Foxglove now!
Yes, we'll be sure & let each other know, but I have a feeling Souls is spooky! 😳

    2. I haven't either, but I think with Dickerson's novels it really doesn't matter? At least, crossing my fingers that's the case anyway 😂

  30. Let me know if this one counts. I saw it on Christian books & it's based on a true story. Not labeled as CF but sounds like a good book. I can make another choice if necessary :-)

    2. The Grand Design by Joy Callaway (May 2022)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Okay -- this is strange because it isn't CF and yet it's on Christian books????? I'm so confused. I checked Amazon and the author's website. No mention of CF. It's tagged as Southern Fiction -- so it is considered fiction. My library has her debut book on audible so I signed it out -- so thanks for the fictional side wandering. :-) But, no, we won't count it for this giveaway because it isn't CF.

    2. Okay, that's what I thought but wanted to ask anyway. It'll go on my want-to-read pile for the future because it sounds so good 😊

Okay so my alternate choice is:
