Reader's Choice -- Romantic Suspense / Mystery Fiction

GIVEAWAY

IMPORTANT EDIT:
Due to an ongoing problem with issues posting comments on blogger using iPhones or Macs, I'm opening up all the Reader's Choice Week giveaways to email entries as well. BUT PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you can post in the comments do, it's much less work for me and so much more fun for everyone to see what other readers are looking forward to in new releases. Plus we all need the info so that we can add titles to our TBR lists!!! (so just ignore the bit in the rules area about not being open to email entries) Oh -- and please put in your subject line: the genre, so today would be Romantic Suspense / Mystery, and then in the body of the email put in all three of your choices.

Eeeepppp! The snow might not be melting but the calendar says it's Spring and that means it's time for...

Reader's Choice Giveaway
Spring into Books Edition

So, here's how this thing works: You recommend CHRISTIAN FICTION titles with release dates in April, May or June 2022 (up to three suggestions per genre day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.

IT'S ROMANTIC SUSPENSE / MYSTERY
GIVEAWAY DAY!

To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Romantic Suspense / Mystery genre you would like to win.

Romantic Suspense / Mystery -- a full length story or novella or collection of novellas where mystery is an important part of the plot. The hero or heroine (or both) are often in peril (more so in suspense) Can be set in any time period -- contemporary or historical and may cross genres such as YA, Amish etc and may include dual timelines.

How does it work?

Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

Publication dates must be
APRIL, MAY OR JUNE 2022
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to three suggestions
per genre day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of
due to # of responses)
entrants must submit their own selections
(no piggyback on someone else's log in)
Open to International Readers
(I'm all about spreading the good news
about Christian Fiction far and wide)

It's helpful to include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments per day. If you choose not to include your email, then it's up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on
Saturday April 2 2022

  1. I haven't read much suspense this past year or so (blame the Pandemic), but these upcoming ones excite me! Gotta have the conclusion to this series!

    1. The Catch by Lisa Harris~April 2022

  2. I won the first one (not read it yet) so I definitely need to follow up with the next one:

    2. Sunburst by Susan May Warren~June 2022

  3. I'm going to have to come back and see what others post tomorrow so I can pick my final one. I was going to choose Irene Hannon & got all excited, but it's an earlier book/series of hers that's been repackaged. *Sigh*

    1. I hate when they repackage a book and you go in thinking it's brand new and then it's not! Also don't like when they make up a novella collection of previously published novellas!!!

I'm definitely on board for The Catch -- that's been a fantastic series. Good luck, Trixi!

PS -- have you seen that Jessica Patch has an indie coming out? Her Darkest Secret -- but it's about a serial killer so not sure how 'dark' it's going to get. Good luck. Trixi!

    1. Your second choice is quite intriguing -- history and mystery set in the 1930s. Sounds like my kind of a book! Good luck, Kathleen!

  10. I'm going to try the new Elite Guardian series; I have the first book and hope to get to it soon. I hear it's great, so book 2:

  11. Prolific writer Susan Sleeman already has her new Steele series going and I haven't even gotten to the last series yet! I just bought the last book in that series and hope to have a reading marathon on those to catch up. I'm going to collect this series too,

    1. I noticed the first Elite Guardian series came up on audible this week. Good to know it's got great reviews. I guess the books are coming out close together because the have different authors? Definitely looks like a series to keep on top of.

Susan Sleeman is one of my catch-up authors for this year. I thought it would be easy-ish since I've read quite a bit of her work but...oy...Once I wrote them all out in my goal book. Yikes! I'm current on the last two indie pubbed series, but have gaps in the two before them and I had no idea there were so many indie series. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh! But I'm gonna try.

      Good luck, Tracey!

  16. Good morning. Veering away from the suspense authors I normally choose bc I don't think I can keep up with their series. Sleeman's really needs to be read in order to keep up with the main characters I'm thinking. Just like her series w/ the Byrd brothers. I DID read all of those! Eep! Eason's same thing. So...

    1. Ha! Go straight for the creepy right off the bat. :-) It's hard when indie pubbed books come out so fast and furiously. I've given up all hope of trying wrangle my Christy Barritt backlist into submission but I still have hopes with Susan Sleeman's...as long as I stay current while catching up! Good luck, Diana!

    3. Oh, the one I listed above or the one below, Tracey? Well I can look on Ammy. Thanks!

    4. They're both available for Kindle & are labeled Christian fiction. I can't hold those little books. I always drop them bc they don't seem to open all the way. LOL!

    5. Her Darkest Secret is also on Audible, Kav!

    6. The one above Diane, Her Darkest Secret. It's not small like the other LI's. It's the regular size of any other book. Love Inspired is doing a few trade size books on a limited basis.

      Delete
    7. Well that's pretty cool! Sorry, Tracey, I'm so exhausted. I was mistaking trade books with mass market. The mass market books are the ones I have trouble holding. Thanks for the info, my friend!

    1. She's got several different series going on at the same time so I'm assuming they don't need to be read in any type of order. How does an author do that especially with suspense? Keeping all those details straight leading to whodunit?!

    2. Blogger can be tricky like that. Or he quadruples your comments. It's feast or famine with him. lol Just think of al the scary plot twists going through these authors' minds. How do they sleep at night?! Good luc, Diana!

    3. I don't know how they sleep OR have time to sleep. I've always said Christy Barritt must write in her sleep, as quickly as they release!

  38. So, one not mentioned and a new to me author, although I note she has written several books. Amazon says it is Christian Mystery and Suspense Romance, among other categories. I am trying to look on Amazon rather than Goodreads for proper categories!

A Rose for the Resistance by Angela Couch, April, Barbour Publishing.

  39. Several people have mentioned Written on the Wind by Elizabeth Cameron, and it sounds somewhat suspenseful, but Amazon doesn't show it in that category. If it does count, I would like to add that to my wish list. Thanks!
