GIVEAWAY |
Spring has sprung! (at least in the climates south of me!) And that means publishers are getting ready to shower us with new releases! Everybody --- SQUEEEPP -- together. I am so excited!
So here's how this thing works: You recommend Christian Fiction with release dates in April, May or June 2018 (up to 3 a day) and you have a chance at winning one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.
PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week. :-(
IT'S AMISH FICTION GIVEAWAY DAY!
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Amish Fiction genre you would like to win.
Amish Fiction
A full-length story or novella collection where the hero or heroine (or both) are Amish OR the story has significant Amish involvement with Amish secondary characters and Amish community. Can be historical or contemporary and cross genres such as YA, suspense, or dual timelines.
How does it work?
Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!
Publication dates must be
April, May or June 2018
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of
due to # of responses)
NEW -- entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on somebody else's logon) - NEW
Offer open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about
Christian Fiction all over the globe!!!
It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one comment (per day) If you choose not to include your email it is up to the winner to contact me with their mailing address.
Draw will be held and winner announced on
Sunday March 25 2018
#1: The Road Home by Beverly Lewis (April)
ReplyDeleteIt's been far too long since I've read her books!
#2: Room on the Porch Swing by Amy Clipston (Amish Homestead Novel book two/May)
ReplyDeleteBeen looking forward to this one!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHad to scratch my last entry because the book was re-released as a mass market paperback.
ReplyDelete#3: Arms of Mercy by Ruth Reid (Amish Mercies book two/ June)
Not read anything this author, so it would be something new for me :-)
teamob4 (at) gmail (dot) com
I love that cover for The Road Home. The colours just pop. And I've read the first book in Amish Mercies series by Ruth Reid and really enjoyed it so this will be a must read as well. Eeeep, we're off to a good start here, Trixi. Good luck.
DeleteHappy Thursday at Best Reads (aka Kav's Kave, lol)
ReplyDelete1) Between You and Me by Susan Wiggs 6/26
This is an interesting one, a general market author moving over to the Christian market! A clash of cultures when a medical crisis throws an Amish man and a female doctor together, ending in a courtroom tug of war. Whew, I'm on the edge of my seat just reading the summary!

2)The Wedding Quilt Bride by Marta Perry 5/1
ReplyDeletebecause I like quilts and brides and Marta, lol
3)Home on Huckleberry Hill6/26
ReplyDeleteby Jennifer Beckstrand
Mary Anne and Jethro are married but he spends more time fishing than with her. Not being able to stand his indifference she moves into a tent in the woods.
Oh my gosh, what a setup for a great story!
Thanks Kav, I am have so much fun exploring the new books for Spring!
DeleteWow -- you know how to pick them, Tracey! That Susan Wiggs book has me intrigued. The tags say Christian Fiction but the publisher is mainstream so did they call it Christian Fiction because of the Amish theme or is it really Christian Fiction? Time will tell. I'm going to get it from my library since they will be sure to get it in. Might even be pre-ordered already. Must check.
DeleteAnd moving into a tent?! Snort. I haven't read enough of Jennifer Beckstand's books and I know my library has them all. Shame on me. Good luck, Tracey.
Good question on Between You and Me Kav! I found this book the way I find almost all my books, I go to amazon and filter everything through Christian Books & Bibles, then fiction, then Amish. Harper Collins is the seller so I made the assumption it was Christian. It's #25 on the Christian Romance Amish list and # 11 on Christian Amish Romance New Releases. If it's not really a Christian book I think someone will be hearing about this. If you think it's too "iffy" I can switch it, just let me know. I thought maybe Ms. Wiggs had had a "come to Jesus" experience :)
Deletelol -- no, live it. I will definitely get it from my library and let y'all know what I think! I'm totally intrigued.
DeleteMe too! I guess I was thinking about all the other former secular writers who had switched to Christian fiction like Francine Rivers, Becky Wade, Catherine Palmer, Kathleen Morgan and Robin Lee Hatcher (off the top of my head). Once the book comes out it will most likely have a "look inside" ability like most books, looking forward to that sneak peek
DeleteMorning everyone! Notice I didn't say GOOD morning. My yuckiness from Mon turned into the full-fledged stomach flu. Ugh, do I feel puny today. Good excuse to lie around and do nothing but read. Now on to the good stuff! Like an Amish stalker book!
ReplyDelete1) Plain Outsider by Alison Stone (May 2018)
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
Change of plans, Terrill. I'm so book fickle. ;-)
Delete2) The Amish Quilter by Mindy Starns Clark (May 1)
ReplyDelete3) The Amish Teacher's Gift By Rachel J. Good (Apr. 24)

DeleteSorry -- I was so thrilled with your book selections I forgot to commiserate with you over your fluyness. So sorry you're sick!!!! Feel better soon and may you have many book nurses to make your feel better.
DeleteAww...thanks, Kav. Right now Phoebe's Light is my nurse. I read almost half of it in one sitting! Really good!
DeleteSorry you are sick Diane, but Phoebe is an excellent beside companion for you! I can't wait for book 2, Minding the Light, it'll be out July 3rd!
DeleteAnd here I thought the summer would be quiet after this blockbuster spring but clearly not. I see a summer Reader's Choice week in our future.
DeleteYes Kav, July 3rd has THREE releases on my list! Minding the Light, Dead Drift by Dani Pettrey and Sons of Blackbird Mountain by Joanne Bischof! Then in August Tessa Afshar's Thief of Corinth!
DeleteTracey, thank you. I didn't know about Minding the Light! And Joanna Davidson Politano's 2nd book comes out in July, too! Her debut, Lady Jayne Disappears, was the BoMb! I am giddy about spring/summer reading for sure! Or is that bc of the stomach bug? lol Nah...gotta be the books. :-)
DeleteOoh, Tracey! I just finished Phoebe's Light and saw the preview at the end for Minding the Light! Looking forward to it!

DeleteKav!! I was so excited for Amish Day this time around. Belle by Sarah Price was one of my favorite Amish books from last year, so I have to enter the second book from this series.
ReplyDelete1.) Ella by Sarah Price
Then the third book comes out in Sept. and it's called SADIE. Which I love since that's my daughter's name. It's a re-telling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Instead, it's the seven Glick brothers. LOL. How cool is that?!
