GIVEAWAY |
Spring has sprung! (in climates south of me, at least.) And that means publishers are getting ready to shower us with new releases. Everybody -- SQUEEEEPPPP - together! I'm so excited!
So here's how this thing works: You recommend Christian fiction with release dates in April, May or June 2018 (up to three a day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it's a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.
PLEASE NOTE: email entries are not eligible this week. :-(
IT'S HISTORICAL ROMANCE/FICTION GIVEAWAY DAY!
To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Historical Romance/Fiction genre you would like to win.
Historical Romance/Fiction
A full-length story OR novella collection set in any time period before the 1970s . May cross genres such as YA, suspense, Amish and may include dual timelines.
How does it work?
Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section each day and if you win, you win the book you suggested.
BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!
Publication dates must be
April, May or June 2018
Each day is genre specific so
only submit books from that genre
Christian Fiction books only please!
You can offer up to 3 suggestions a day
BUT
they need to be made in
three separate comments
(makes it easier for me to tally)
No email entries this week
(too hard to keep track of due to
# of responses)
NEW - entrants must submit their own selections
(not piggyback on someone else's logon) - NEW
Open to International Readers
I'm all about spreading the good news about Christian Fiction
all over the globe!!!!!
It's helpful if you include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments (per day). If you choose not to include your email then it's up to you to contact me if you're a winner.
Draw will held and winner announced on
Sunday March 25 2018
Good morning, Kav! I woke up early this morning not feeling so spiffy, so what better way to perk up than to talk book talk!!
ReplyDelete1)The Weaver's Daughter by Sarah Ladd (April 10)
2) The Captured Bride by Michelle Griep
ReplyDelete(June 1)
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
3) In Places Hidden by Tracie Peterson (May 6th) *They work in a chocolate factory! Squeeep!*
ReplyDeleteP.S Don't forget Joanne Bischof and Joanna Davidson Politano's new releases in July!
dianalflowers(at)aol(dot)com
Scratch Tracie's. This one released early. In March. I'll have to find another.
DeleteThe Pirate's Bride by Kathleen Y'Barbo also releases on April 1, but I'm not planning on reading that one. Someone else might want to, though!
Ohhh -- hope you're feeling spiffier, Diana. I knew Sarah Ladd had a new one coming out -- I'd written the info on a scrap of paper that is floating around somewhere so now I have it written in 'the book'. Thank you! And Squeeeaaalll!!! Another Michelle Griep so soon???? I'm in! Good luck, Diana.
DeleteOh --and thanks for teasing me about July releases!!! So not fair! :-)
Deletehehe Look at the bright side. At least they will release in the summertime and no snow!
DeleteThanks, am feeling spiffier, but will probably need that little nap this afternoon. :/
Just make sure that you curl up with a good book first. You'll want to clear your TBR pile to make room for all these great spring books coming out.
DeleteMakes my mouth water just thinking about it!
DeleteGood morning Kav and fellow book addicts :)
ReplyDelete(I regret nothing, lol)
So #1 on my dance card is, drum roll...
The Road to Magnolia Glen by Pam Hillman
Book 2 in the Natchez Trace series June 5th
Quinn travels from Ireland to Breeze Hill!
Kav, LOVE helping fill up your dance card!
Diane, I just saw your comment from yesterday,
thanks for the vote of confidence, lol
tracey14567 at gmail dot com
Tracey, you're most welcome! lol See, you already came up with one I didn't know about! I messed up on Tracie's. Hers already released, so I need to find something else.
DeleteWell there you go Diane! Sorry you are under the weather this morning, feel better soon!
DeleteAnd another recommendation I can make is
The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck June 12
I was lucky enough to read an advance copy of this dual timeline and it's fantastic! Modern day actress playing a Revolutionary war heroine!
I knew about Rachel's, but didn't know it was a dual timeline. Thanks, Tracey, for the recommendations and well wishes! I'll be fine. My heart was racing and pounding in my sleep. Probably bc of this! LOL!
DeleteI was up and down all night and then up at 5 a.m.! But my problem was the caffeinated tea I drank way too late, I know better than to do that, what was I thinking?! I see a nap in my Monday afternoon future, haha.
DeleteEEEEEEPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Thud! Ouch, I think I have a concussion, my fainting couch wasn't on hand. Pam Hillman's next one comes out??????????? That sooooooon????? I did not know that!!! I have written it in my book with stars all around to indicate must buy IMMEDIATELY when it comes out. Be. Still. My. Heart. And thanks for the Rachel Hauck tip. Got that down as well. Wheeeeeee! Oh, and good luck, Tracey.
DeleteHere's smelling salts and an ice pack. Just in case it happens again you had best move your fainting couch! Or better yet, just sit down when you read these. hahaha
DeleteBwahahaha! Wise counsel.
Delete#2 on the list is More Than Meets the Eye
ReplyDeleteKaren Witemeyer June 5th
A new series called A Patchwork Family

Thanks for the fun preview week, Kav!
Looking forward to new discoveries too!
Wheee -- I'm just revved up and ready to read!!! Love both those authors! June's turning out to be a readworthy month! Thanks for sharing, Tracey (including the insider's scoop on a two-colour eyed heroine.) Good luck!
DeleteOh, yes! The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck! Set in my beautiful state of SC! Thanks, Tracey! I'm with you on the nap deal.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Kav. We're just getting started and I've got you running all over the place. Anyway, Rachel's is my 3rd choice. Thanks so much!
DeleteBook running is my favourite kind of exercise, Diana. Good luck!
DeleteThis is always so much fun to research, and it is appearing there are a great many very good releases, although I haven't yet specifically looked at contemporary. I think that is the category in which we were finding slimmer pickings last time. I am going with a theme of just Bethany House books for the upcoming historical fiction. So, a continuation of an excellent series - Together Forever by Jody Hedlund, May 2018.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
A new series - The Accidental Guardian by Mary Connealy, Apr 2018. A very different looking cover from her last series.
ReplyDeleteA Breath of Hope by Lauraine Snelling, Apr 2018. I always like her northern immigrant books and have learned a great deal of history of that area. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with Bethany House, can you? I loved the first book in the Orphan Train series by Jody Hedlund so I'm looking forward to this one as well. And Marcy Connealy is a given...love that cover!!!! Good luck, CC.

ReplyDeleteThe Raveling by Tamara Leigh
(Age of Faith Book 8)
I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt however 😉 and assume they just didn't know the release date. It was a bit tricky to find, but I was DETERMINED that this book be included in Reader's Choice Week! So, if you go onto Tamara Leigh's website and scroll down to "New Releases and Events", The Raveling is listed as releasing in June. YAY!! 😁
Elly -Indiana-
jcservantslaveATicloudDOTcom
And, of course, if any of Melanie Dickerson's books' release dates fall within a Reader's Choice Week time-frame, I've GOT to put her down as one of my choices! (Look out! You'll probably find her showing up again on Christian Fiction Day 😊)
ReplyDeleteThe Orphan's Wish by Melanie Dickerson
(Hagenheim Book 8)
HA! First two choices are books 8 in their series and both releasing in June!
The Accidental Guardian by Mary Connealy
ReplyDelete(High Sierra Sweethearts Book 1)
Couldn't resist this one! I haven't read much by her (I'm actually reading my first by her right now!), but my sister LOVES her books!
I can always count on you to bring something new to the party, Elly. I still haven't read any of the books in the Age of Faith series but it sounds as if I better get started. And you're right, there always seems to be a new Melanie Dickerson book out when we have a Reader's Choice week. I don't know how she writes them so fast but I'm glad she does! Good luck, Elly.
