Killer Country Reunion

GIVEAWAY
KILLER COUNTRY REUNION

Her family's being eliminated, one by one...but he won't let her be next.

After gunmen attack Caroline Marsh, she's stunned that she survives - and shocked that her rescuer is her ex-fiance, Zane Coleman. With her family's safety on the line, there's no time for grudges over the past. The killers on her trail won't give up easily. And although Zane already left her once, for her own protection, he's not about to lose Caroline again.

My Review:

"She tried to yell for help as she ran, but the terror flooding her body gripped her lungs so tightly that it was all she could do to keep breathing." (p 10) You and me both, Caroline. Awesome opening scene that's guaranteed to steal breaths and weaken knees! And once we get a chance to catch our breath we're left with a puzzling mystery -- who is after Caroline and why?! I had several working theories as the story progressed and I was hard pressed to pick just one. Love when a suspense challenges me that way!

The second chance romance works it's way along an angsty path which is just as edge-of-your-seating as the suspense. Both have nice breathing spaces so we're not always in a tilt-a-whirl frenzy and there's time to delve deeper into the past as well as build -- however shaky -- a new relationship.

Awesomesauce from start to finish!

My thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book.

  3. Jenna is a new to me author. This book sounds
like a good place to get to know her writing style.

Prayer today for you Kav from Psalm 91:9-12,2

    The Lord is Kav's refuge
and she makes the Most High her dwelling,
    no harm will overtake Kav,
no disaster will come near her tent,
For He will command His angels concerning Kav,
    to guard Kav in all her ways;
they will lift Kav up in all her ways,
so that Kav will not strike her foot against a stone.
Kav will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in who I trust." Amen :)

    1. Sniffle. You're making me cry, Tracey. Love this personalizing of scripture. I've never done that before but it's powerful. And appreciate the 'not striking her foot against a stone' lol. I'm learning about guided imagery as a tool to control pain and that's pretty powerful - I have a buffer all around me! Woot! Good luck, Tracey.

  4. I pray for myself the same way concerning "striking her foot against a stone", I've had plantar fasciitis in my foot off and on for 3 months. I also pray the one for not letting my foot slip from yesterday for myself too. I have arthritis in my knees, the right one especially from an old injury, and I even found reference in several verse about "strengthening your feeble arms and week knees. Make level paths for your feet..." I know these verses have spiritual application but they can apply literally to our physical wellbeing at the same time. So while I'm praying these things over you, they are the same prayers I pray over myself. Physical needs like this make me realize just how much I need God's help, every, single, day! We all do! So, we are in this together my friend!

    1. Ugh -- plantar fascitis - been there, done that don't want to go there again! So painful. I never thought to search the scriptures for feeble arms and weak knees. How cool is it that God has us covered no matter what! I'll be praying for you too, Tracey. Sisters in books and prayer!
