JOHNS, PATRICIA
A RANCHER TO REMEMBER
He's forgotten how to be a daddy
But he'll learn for his Montana Twins
It's no surprise that Sawyer West doesn't recognize the beautiful woman visiting his ranch. After an accident, he doesn't remember anyone. Not even his twin toddlers. Still, something tells im he can trust Olivia Martin, who offers her help with the girls -- and recovering his missing memories. Yet that trust may shatter when he learns why she's really there...
My Review:
published August 2019
There's been a rash of amnesia stories in the Love Inspired lines this year and I'm always amazed by the way each author manages to put their unique spin on the topic. Patricia Johns' A Rancher to Remember is one of the most innovative plots I've come across. Love that it's the hero suffering from amnesia which leaves him vulnerable -- and cranky and frustrated and so impatient with himself. And I also love that it forces him to be led by his heart rather than logic or experience. And when he meets Olivia, his heart draws him in. But their past is complicated -- a past he has no recollection of even though Olivia remembers every excruciating detail. The result is a page-turning, angst-riddled, emotionally gutting contemporary romance! With a cowboy! And sweet twin girls! Call me a happily contented reader. :-)

DeleteHard to imagine waking up and not remembering anything. Although there have been a lot of amnesia stories, this one sounds marvelous. Love that there are a set of twins too - double the fun and mischief. :)

DeleteI was going to pass this one up, because I've got a number of LI's that I need to finish. BUT then I read your review and I couldn't type a response fast enough! Bwahaha!! "The result is a page-turning, angst-riddled, emotionally gutting contemporary romance!" That quote hooked me. Us and and our love/hate relationship with angst. Lol.
