Mountain Hostage

GIVEAWAY
WHITE, HOPE
MOUNTAIN HOSTAGE

They're tracking a kidnapper, but will they be the next targets?

After an ambush during a mountain hike, Zoe Pratt ends up shoved off the mountain and her friend kidnapped. Enigmatic search and rescue volunteer Jack Monroe tracks Zoe with the help of his K-9 partner, Romeo, but as the only witness to the attack, she's far from safe. With Jack's help, can she find her friend and take down her would-be killer?

K-9 Mountain Guardians

My Review:

A convoluted tangled web of deceit is at the heart of a daring mountainside kidnapping and catapults Zoe and Jack into an epicenter of danger. Mountain Hostage gave my sleuthing armchair a real workout and I am proud to announce that I was partially right when it came down to the bad'uns. :-) A tense plot, loads of action and....eeeeeeepppp....a Bernese Mountain Dog / Border Collie cross hero named Romeo Albert Garrett Monroe!  Fans of the TV show Scorpion (2014-2018) will particularly get a kick out of the hero/heroine dynamics.

  1. So many K-9 series, so little time! Seems they keep popping up at every turn, how's a reader suppose to keep up? LOL!

    1. And I saw something about a new continuity K-9 series coming out with LIS -- set in Brooklyn this time. Eeep!!! Good luck, Trixi!

    2. Yes: True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn. I found (and bought) Copycat Killer by Laura Scott at a thrift store (April release). If I remember correctly, the series is an offshoot of the True Blue K-9 Unit.

Like I said, how's a reader to keep up :-)

By the way, did you make it to your eye Dr this week? And what's the result? I pray for good news!

    3. Wow -- you found the first book in the new series at a thrift store already?! I'm really looking forward to that series.

Sigh -- I had to cancel my eye appt because we had a crazy snowstorm on the day of and haven't been able to book another one. In the meantime though, I'm able to read LIs print now Yay. Text messages. Yay. And can even read my laptop screen...in the morning anyway. So, I'm thinking it's just taking me way longer than most to adapt? Maybe because of the wonkiness in my brain from that crazy infection I had so many years ago. I'm seeing all the peeps at the hospital rehab the end of the month so I'll ask them about that.

    4. Yes, I found three large print April LIS releases...probably because someone has the reader service. I've found other early release books before as well. :-)

I'm sorry to hear you've had a time getting into the Dr. But I'm glad you are starting to read so much better and able to tackle those books again, yay! I pray it will get better each day 😊
