Opening Her Heart

GIVEAWAY

KASTNER, DEB
OPENING HER HEART

She can handle the Texan threatening her plans...But can she resist his adorable little girl?

The Colorado mountain cabin is perfect for Avery Winslow's dream -- a B and B for service dogs and their families. Except fast-talker Texan Jake Cutter wants the land for a luxury resort. Now Avery's fighting for her dream and her town. But Jake and his sweet little girl have already charmed Avery's favorite service dog...and her guarded heart might just be next.

A Rocky mountain Family Novel

My Review:

A story to be savored from that cover oozing with warm-fuzzy goodness to the tender, heart felt dedication and on through the compelling story. This novels begs to be read and remembered -- for it's characters and it's message -- and all the dogs!!! I reached canine nirvana right quick and might have swooned more over the dogs than the hero.

Speaking of which...bah humbug Jake Cutter! He did not make a good first impression, especially once his nefarious plans were revealed. Okay, nefarious might be a bit strong, but seriously...service dogs vs luxury hotel? As if there's really a choice! :-)

I was prepared to snub my nose at Mr. Cutter until I saw him in dad-mode in chapter two. Then I was a goner! Avery's a tougher nut to crack though and I enjoyed every second of the wooing.

"Weddings were a onetime event. Marriages were a lifetime of daily love and laughter." (p 211) Happy sigh. This one tickled all my reading bones!

    1. I do too. And they can be used for so many things. I even read about COVID sniffing dogs -- not working yet, but the idea is to have them at airports, say, to sniff out the flu-y people. lol Good luck, Trixi!
